It's January 9th, 2024 and us here in Whistler have been treated to over 30cm of snow overnight which makes it 106cm in total in the last 7 days… Starting the video from my staff accommodation in Glacier Lane, onto Village Run, then head up Whistler Mountain to enjoy the fresh powder.     The Saddle shows up on some Whistler maps as a blue and on others as a black. They can't ever decide...maybe condition dependent.

      From what I've heard it used to be a blue but due to glacier melt it has gotten steeper over time so they have made it a black.

      it used to be a groomer that was steep but eventually they just decided to stop grooming it and label it as a black to stop having beginners going up and getting stuck on it.

      @@Lararara00 i personally dont because sometimes it could cause more harm than good in most cases, but if you are really insistant and want to take the risk of breaking your arm then watch a video and it will show you exactly how to do it

    I was there. Seemed like Whistler had better conditions because more slopes face north. They need a solid meter to make it decent
