Acceptance Leads to Silence | How to Reach Inner Silence?
In this video, Jack talks about how inner silence cannot be achieved by simply 'trying' to be silent. Trying to be silent also usually implies resisting and arguing with whatever noises are inside (or even outside) of us. Deepening inner silence is actually a byproduct of total acceptance of ourselves, others and out life situations. The majority of our internal 'noises' comes from our resistances and conflicts within ourselves and within life itself. We may be able to attain a temporary state of quietude through concentrating, but the really, genuine silence of the self is only reached when we have mastered the practice of acceptance.

    🙏🏾Thank you 🙏🏾 I feel having stillness, silence as a goal, result can cause more stress, contraction, dis-ease which is "counterproductive" to freedom from thoughts. And perhaps a waste of time and energy, and no progress. At the same time, alas one may need to experience this "stress" to transform into a different approach n understanding.

      Yes, I agree more or less. We should find the nicest state within ourselves that we can access right now, and then just keep aiming for that and trying to loosen ourselves out of whatever obstacles there seem to be to that state being more permanent. Acceptance is the best 'loosener'.🙏

      @@jackhbarrattyes, in oneSelf. Why, how is it so external based, even for spiritual folks who depend on the external guru figure?? Such an intense conditioning. Whats the turning point, how to cultivate - that complete faith within as Source?

    • @jackhbarratt
      @jackhbarratt หลายเดือนก่อน

      It's external based because people want it to be external based. People are used to looking outside for everything. Complete faith within means complete faith in and acceptance of oneself. If you can accept yourself, others around you, and your life situation totally, then what more is to be done? When this level of acceptance is there, the usually conflicted, violent mind comes to rest, and the source is directly perceived.

    Thank you, Jack. It seems that being in your presence is becoming more intense in my experience. Not only the meditation again today but also during the satsangs. I had this same experience while watching part 2 of Kundalini. It's like receiving Shaktipat, but as everyone has their own unique flavor to their transmission in my experience, yours seems more dense (intense) and intelligent in a way that it somehow works on many things in my system and not just boosting the system with raw Shakti, which of course is also great to receive. And there are always masters passing by, which is the coolest thing! Like a couple of weeks ago, I felt literally channels opening up, things snapping in my system, and a huge flow of energy flowing through and again resulted in a new 'upgraded' state of consciousness, As you share in this video, you mention that many people with the power of a lot Shakti have the ability to transmit it but haven't completed the cycle yet. Could this be one of the reasons why the Shakti is less intelligent, so to speak? Also, in my experience of receiving Shaktipat from several beings who also helped me a LOT, I realized that none of them have fully dissolved their I-sense. They are not pure consciousness. Does this imply that the cycle hasn't completed yet? What about other forms of transmission? I have noticed that with several people I've engaged with a lot, I started to take on some of their negative traits. Is there a potential danger in receiving Shakti from someone who hasn't completed the cycle if it's true that we also receive other things from them besides the Shakti? It deeply resonates with me how Shaktipat and Kundalini are nothig special on the Datta path but just an integral aspect of the path of dissolution. You know, this is to me, real raw Avadhoota style-they chop off all the fancy bells and whistles and present you with the naked truth. That's why they actually have nothing to give and don't have many people that folow them. But there avtually is everything. I see how these spiritual 'products' are offered in the market and in that way they and their 'products' look special, creating a distance, and where there is distance, the chase has started. It's a great business model tho, haha. Noting bad about them actually, because they also have helped me a lot and has been part of my path of which I am eternally grateful for.But thanks to you, in a short period of time, I have started to look more and more from a natural state towards reality (myself), and a natural state is naturally inclusive of everything so there is nothing to get or go as you sauy. This is really the end. Thank you, Jack. It's an awesome ride. Love you!

    • @jackhbarratt
      @jackhbarratt 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The main signature of the Datta path is that it is based around life itself. There are no additional elements or flavours other than life. Datta means life in its natural harmonious mode. Datta Gurus/Avadhutas are also the same. Therefore, the operating style and transmission of such beings will simply operate with the natural intelligence of life. There won't be anything added. From an Avadhuta you receive exactly what you need at that point in time, in the right amount, and it will naturally match up with your own organic flow of evolution in life. Similarly, Avadhutas don't interfere with people's paths. They only deliver as per absolute necessity. So again, this necessity comes from nature. Avadhutas live in a mode where they are not pushed, karmically, o do anything whatsoever, so anything that they do do--is solely dharmic and solely for the benefit of others. The job of a Guru in the Datta Tradition is simply to support you to connect to yourself and fully manifest yourself in this life with great power, beauty, creativity and originality. These Avadhutas need nothing, on any level, from anyone. That is why they are so pure. And yeah, if you are opening up to receive transmission from someone, then you may also take on some negative traits also if they are there. Look at how children open up and look to their parents for guidance. By doing this they usually become molded in the parents' image - good and bad sides alike. Some people who claim to give Shaktipat also put some their own intention in with it to deliver or activate something. This is not perfectly pure. An Avadhuta, a fully dissolved beng, doesn't have any intentions. They are just a pure space of existence. In the words of Mohanji: Avadhutas are existence personified!

    • @jackhbarratt
      @jackhbarratt 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I practice being myself. I don't accept all of the ready-made definitions of others people. Kundalini (Shakti) means the uncoiling energy of existence. Yoga means to unify. So Kundalini Yoga simply means to unify yourself with your own energy in its expanding mode. This I practice. This I am.

    • @ginacurly
      @ginacurly 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      that’s a very liberating way to look at it :) do you see any specific benefits in also practicing the physical postures and breathing exercises designed to raise kundalini?

    • @jackhbarratt
      @jackhbarratt 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      These things can be helpful. All the Kriya traditions are based around this principle. These techniques are designed to refine and amplify the energy in the body. That is fine, but one has to have the right orientation as well in order to bring the kundalini process to completion. It is not just a mechanical thing. One has to have a great longing for truth, and one has to see all of the faults in the ordinary modes of samsaric existence. One should also have an outlet in service, to selflessly express the energy that is generated through practice. Once kundalini is really moving, one may also get the ability to effect other people with one's presence. So one must also have the purity to not then jump to thinking one is special and now a guru. So a lot of things are helpful on this path, but the larger perspective of completing this path and fully dissolving (which is beyond simply awakening) is quite intricate. It is always best to have a guide in these matters instead of trying to do it DIY.

    So basically Kundalini is the awakening of consciousness. Is this related to 💯 awareness?

    • @jackhbarratt
      @jackhbarratt 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes Kundalini awakening is the full awakening and transformation of consciousness that includes all dimensions, from the grossest to the subtle. We constantly bleed energy through thinking and projecting. When our thinking begins to settle down in the naturally increased intensity of awareness, our energy also comes internalised. When energy becomes internalised, it combusts. When energy combusts, heat is generated. This generation of heat is known as tapas. This heat burns out all of the impurities and transmutes the subtle body to a body of golden light. I will make another video on this topic!

    Can we say that wholeness is in a sense similar to self-love? In one of your videos you describe love as: "Love is Simply the Connection With Our Essence; Contentment and Bliss Are Native to Love" So this the ultimate recognition?

    • @jackhbarratt
      @jackhbarratt 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes, self-love is not an emotion. Self-love does not also mean that we have specific things within ourselves that we love. Self-love is simply total acceptance of ourselves warts and all. Remaining whole means that we give ourselves full permission in each moment to be exactly as we are with whatever feelings and perceptions are there. Self-love is not just a nice opinion that we have about certain aspects of ourselves. Self-love is there when we don't have any opinion about ourselves at all. Self-love is present when we just are - when we just be totally.

    Sometimes we don't suppress anything, we allow everything to come out. We make some decisions, and the game starts like a snake and ladder. Mind also play it's vital role. Then we get tired of this game and then one moment we leave everything. 😮 It's like o am not interested in this game now.

    I remember once you mentioned, unless you get hurt (in any relationship) how would you learn a lesson? All such situations allow one to improve, to be stronger than before. Thank you again for such examples.
