How did the drone contractor go controlling ragwort?
Doug Trigg used a drone contractor to control ragwort on a steep bank. Doug is the President of the Curdies Valley Landcare Group, which started many decades ago as a ragwort control group.
The following is general advice only. Speak to your spraying contractor as each situation is different.
Doug recommends using Brush-Off. The drone contractor used 1 litre of Amine (type unspecified Doug thinks 750) and 25 ml of lontrel (clopyralid) at a rate of 40L/ha.

This short video shows two of the sites revegetated areas. The quality is hard to see in the second one but among the tall grass many species are present but the grass is outcompeting them at this time of the year.

Bloody rippa. I absolutely love it. Wahh hoo. You are replicating what generations of farmers have done, BUT: you’re getting grants from the tax payer to compensate for the losses for poor management. It’s great, reallly cool concept. Thanks.

This needs to be a 3 year study, minmum. A no-till drill must also be included. A seed coat trial with nutrisoil is essential, as this is providing substantial improvements in soil function
