Exploring The Toll gate pub/ Tollgate Hotel

The Toll gate Pub started life in 1927 until a road widening scheme saw it demolished and re placed on another site in 1922, where it was modernised and extended into the Tollgate hotel over the years. The site has been empty since 2010 and has security 24 hrs and is fenced off. And we got caught by security.

it was built in the 1970s. It is a very fasinating place, the Tesco shop itself was very old fashioned and still had a lot of original features from the 70s and closed On the 4th April 2015 this branch of Tesco closed.

The store had only been for four years after hundreds of people turned up to watch TV hardman Ross Kemp open it in 2016.and in 2020 we was the first people to explore it

16:02 the World Dryer Corporation hand dryer could be anything from late 19,70s to early 90s
They started using the Xlerators in 2011 i believe or somewhere around that (the hand dryers) and the automatic taps are probably from 2014 so it must of had some type of refurbishment
they started using them before 2010 actually as NCHLT mentioned it in his local Tesco Xlerator video description I think.

They didn't start using them in 2011, the ones at chatham were likely installed around that point though.
@@TheHandDryerFilmer That was a mistake and i didn't understand Tesco serial number system, it is likely from 2010 and replaced a 2006 airdri classic

that place is a creepy horrible explore we heard loads of wierd shit in there did it 4 times

NIce little explore there! another place to try is Portlands in Northfleet it used to be Spectrum nightclub but it also hosted boxing matches, live bands and other events, you could book it out for special events too. I cant find much info on when it closed down though.
I worked Security there at Tesco in 2014. The '70s styled store and restaurant. Also, the car park is completely closed off now.

The go outdoors in Chatham finally closed down? That must mean the entire place is abandoned now, not just the Tesco.
I was born in that hospital ! It's say their for decades slowly falling apart..being vandalised every few years it's announced that is going to be ...knocked down....reopened...converted into flats but it just sits rotting! It's starve because it's right next to the rest of the hospital that's still in full use!
me too i was born there, i dunno why it stayed up for so many years when it's so disgusting to look at. my mum said it weren't looking like that when it was once opened but i don't see the point in keeping this abandon building up. why can't they just make flats and be done with it?

Ive been in it at night u can hear lots of booky shit as my mates have heard babys crying and ive seen dark shadows on th 2nd floor . Cant get in it no more as police sit out side it and stop people from getting in .

Due to where it is located, I wouldn't advice going at night... I've witnessed kids throwing stones and bricks at the windows... It's covered in glass and is absolutely trashed now.. not safe at all... You get kids hanging about there...
I'm a little late but this building is still up, it's pretty easy to get into and isn't as scary as it looks imo. it's a chill place and I love going here
