I got a B6 commonplanner, and I have been wanting to use it as a creative journal and a way to play around with layouts, but i had been struggling! Im so glad you share your pages with us because you have given me tons of ideas and inspiration!!

Very helpful video! I too have been enjoying the Sterling Ink B6 planner - so much so, that I ran out of pages last year, and am on track to run out again this year! I think I will also be doing some sort of 2 book system, using the B6 compact size (if it is offered again this year), and a blank notebook for my scribbles. That way I can write to my hearts content, and just replace the notebook when needed. I got the lined notebook from Sterling Ink a few weeks ago, and I really, really love it!

Every year I do it to myself right at the middle of the year I start going through all my books to try and decide which one I want to use for my next years bullet journal .. which has the amount of pages I need for the weekly and monthly and daily and then I try one and I hate it and then I switch to a new one and I hate that one too I liked the hobonichi I just wish it came in a b5 or a4 size like that would be the ultimate book so I think next year I am going to get a JLP The Auther b5 68gsm tomoe river plain notebook maybe dot grid notebook and try not to focus on tryng to fit everything in a box or Ill buy a nobonichi weeks and just use that for my currently inked and use CVS caliber notebooks for planning ... this year I tried Archer and Olive and their fine but their hecking expensive so much so that I've been blogging on my Ipad and its not going well... and the a3 size Mnemosyne square notebook I have is WAY too big .. so I am at an inpass with my choice in books we will see how things play out ... Your videos already helped me sort my thoughts on what I want to do next year. I hope this one can help others! I went crazy last year buying too many planners and I'm swinging wildly in the other direction. Almost going back to my bullet journal roots to really make what I want.

I have been wanting to downsize into a smaller size, and I really prefer inserts over notebooks. I'm going to try an A6 notebook in 2025, but I only have it set up for 6 months, so I can move into Field Notes, which I think I will like better. I always like seeing other peoples' layouts to get ideas, since I don't buy pre-printed planners. Thanks for sharing!

I could not stomach the $15 for 4 pens that Zig was charging (even though I know they make really quality stuff) but I bought this set also and I have to say they are very good especially for the price. I'm sure the Zigs are a little higher quality but they cannot possibly justify the insane price they go for when these exist. Also the bullet tip on the metallic ones are very nice

Is there a groove in the nib housing that allows for the nib and feed to go only in a specific position? Because I have two Mythos pens and on one pen the nib and feed line up perfectly with the barrel but on the other one they don't. I don't want to pull out the nib and feed to fix this if the housing has a notch which accept the feed only in a certain way.

This video helped me decide on a 6700P ... Would love to see something on how you make that bag.

Katie thank you so much for a very informative video. Been researching machines as I need a new one. Been focused on Juki and possibly a Bernina, but then this one popped up. The 11” harp space is soooo attractive and love the flexibility you have with the acufeed and also the free motion foot. Going to a quilt show tomorrow and this is top of my list to test drive.

Wow, what a showstopper! The clip is so well done and a perfect match to the resin. The fit and finish looks perfect. And Kudos to John for passing along the tip about holding the nib to install the converter. I’ve never heard anyone say that before. I’ll definitely be doing that from now on. The pen is so wonderful and gives me tons of feels! I think you picked the perfect maker to turn this blank into a pen with all of the trimmings that are just so. I’ve been trying to find the mood that best describes how I feel when I see it, and it finally came to me. Heady. Like the smell of a garden in full bloom. Needless to say, I love it, and I’m so happy for you. 🤘🏼😸🧡🖋

Thanks for sharing this! I had the same exact experience as you when I bought my first Sailor: a Princess Kaguya in MF. it's a lovely red with gold flecks. Used it for a year and noticed that it's too short and narrow for my larger hands. I hung on to for sentimental reasons because it was my first fountain pen, it was so darn pretty, wrote well, had the right line width and fairly portable. In the end, I gave it to a cousin who got into fountains pens. Even though I'm tempted to rebuy it, it's just not for me but I'm happy I got to use one! Moving on is the way to go.

Great video!! I think it would make sense for you to just get an undated notebook for the second half of the year that way if you have to miss days it’s not as noticeable and it won’t make you feel bad. I am definitely NOT thinking about 2025 yet; I am enjoying my life and my journaling hobby a day at a time. What helps me is that I only plan in a dated planner, but I journal in an undated notebook because I know I will never journal every single day.

I would love to see a video of all the font styles that you use :)

Love your ‘Hibino’ approach. I’m also stuck and not using my A5 weeklies which I’d planned to use similarly to you. I’m going to go back and look at some of your videos from last year to see if they inspire some ideas for simplifying/changing my approach and/or book size.

I agree, you should wait - I didn’t pre-order this year and got an amazing planner. Some people use monthly for gratitude or quotes and weekly’s as journaling - it’s anything you want it to be. The journal you showed from last year is also beautiful
