I’m gonna tell ya’ll something. Jeff Ward attended the Bondurant High Performance Driving School while I worked there as an instructor towards the end if his MX career. During an extreme rain storm while doing track laps, Jeff was able to adapt to the conditions and make time on me while I was making little mistakes and dropping wheels off the track. Points being- Jeff was able to read conditions and make adjustments and become a great road racer/ Indycar racer. He was really smart, observant and talented.

A Motorsports ICON and all around GOAT. I grew up racing MX and generally riding and racing motorcycles in several disciplines, during the mid to late 80’s my parents owned a Kawasaki dealership and Jeff Ward was a household name in my home. Just an amazing athlete!
Saw Jeff race many times. 87 red bud national ,first moto Jeff is chasing Ricky for several laps then doesn’t come around. Later heard his 500 kawis crank snapped in half.over a massive double , Jeff was thrown over the bars landing on his back , got right back on his feet and walked off.. total animal
Jeff will always be in my earth, he had the style and reputation that I liked the most, Larry Roeseler was another one, both riders for Kawasaki, I had my best years of enduros on a KDX200. What a good time I had reading Dirt Bike, Dirt Rider & Motocross Action back then, no internet, some rare videos that I would tape on the VHS from Wide World of Sports that I would watch over and over again. Dave Despain was the voice on these videos, he made it look and sound so professionnel! Anyway, nice to find what Jeff’s life became after his motocross and supercross year’s. 🥂Jeff Ward & Dave Despain!👍
I have rebuilt my KX500 and put the Jeff Ward graphic kit on it. He is my favorite motocross rider of all time. Jeff Ward is the Man!!! He can race anything and win.
The more I watch Emig, the more I like him. The 90's were the best time for MX. The personalities, the parties, the edgy attitudes. I still love the sport, but it's corporate boredom nowadays when it comes to the riders.

Jeff was my hero when he raced Supercross. Then in the 2000's I got to watch him race Supermoto. A real treat to see this man compete. Legend.
I saw a clip of him tearing up a berm, feet upland standing, still OP
Southwick 88 I met him and his mechanic gave me his first moto rear tire.
Wardy is without question one of the best ever. It was a joy to watch him ride.
What tends to get overlooked on this show is what a great interviewer/host Dave DeSpain was...what a class guy he was
