Simple Forging

เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 11 ก.ค. 2016
This channel is primarily meant to serve as my online blacksmithing journal. We're trying to make good use of the action camera that Elliot got for Christmas in 2016.
If I wasn't busy enough keeping up with the need to do list I'd love to put more videos together but it is not a priority.
The videos are put together using Openshot open source software. All videos are put together in 15 minutes or less as I get annoyed if I have to spend any more time on the computer. That being said QC is absent, some videos turn out good by accident and vice versa.
My 15 minutes is up and it's time for bed :) All for now, Pete

John Mazerole acoustic show Crabbe Mountain Inn Sept. 3, 2023
มุมมอง 58ปีที่แล้ว
An hour from the nearest city is the only sizeable ski hill in the area, Crabbe Mountain. Hard to imagine how an inn could make a go of it in backwoods New Brunswick but having John Mazerole nearby to play shows like this must help. John is from Millville and works at the Sabian cymbal factory located in nearby Meductic. I would say he's as close to a professional musician as I've seen around h...
Toyota tacoma with Miska 3 ton dump trailer
มุมมอง 1.2Kปีที่แล้ว
1.5 yards/tons in this load. My Toyota has a 4 cylinder that can't haul any more than that up a long 10% grade hill. I got this rock from the Springhill quarry and drove about a half hour out to Mactaquac to dump it. Truck does fine with most of it but I'm down in second gear by the time I reach the top of the hill right before the Mactaquac provincial park. The trailer ebrakes work nicely.

How incredibly talented were John Candy and Eugene Levy to keep in character the entire time.
Wow talk about homely looking. Eugene Levy in the title pick looks like he stood to close to highly radioactive materials.
Priceless.
2 3 4 who brewed the coffee?? mm-mm good!
All the way to Cleveland.
Like it was yesterday. 2. 3. 4.
Tightest act ever?
Had NO idea Will Lee played tuba.
Schengen brothers
Hey just came across this video, is that a 6x10? I’m looking into a similar setup just trying to decide on a good length for the taco to tow
@@ryandillon2097 the trailer is closer to 9.5' long inside the bed and the width is around 5.5'. I have a 2.7 liter 4 cylinder. If there are any 5-6% grades in the road after I pick up a load I try not to carry more than 1.5 ton. If the roads are fairly flat I can carry 2 ton. I have not looked at what the truck is supposed to haul, I'm likely over but I'm comfortable doing so. I've got an extra leaf in each year spring which carries things nicely. The weakest point of the system is the clutch. I had a 1989 Toyota pickup that I ran for over 300,000 miles until the frame rotted out. Half way through that I put a new clutch in it. I think this Tacoma will soon need a new clutch and I'll put a pressure plate in it that is a bit stiffer as well. The clutch slips way too easily now. The Tacoma is a soft vehicle compared to what it used to be. The dump trailer is the best thing I ever bought. Wish I could have bought one when I turned 16. And the integrated roll out mesh cover for the load is a must have.
How many miles does your Tacoma have now?
around 140,000 miles I use the dump trailer daily now and I love it. I had an 89 pickup that I sold because the box frame was rotting out and it was over 400,000 miles on it so this truck I got the same thing, 4 cyl 5 spd the 2012 is weak in every way compared to the 1989. I feel now the engine and drivetrain will last forever but everything else will fall off it. I replaced the clutch plate on my 1989 around 200,000 miles and the 2012 will need the same plus a stiffer pressure plate. I undercoat and spray vegetable oil all over, cheap and does just as good a job as every other oil I've sprayed on a piece of metal
@@simpleforging3339 that’s some good info, thanks.
borat owes evrything to these guys
Hard work.
Fortunately we don't have to cut enough as much as our forefathers did. We get up early to cut and rake grass to put on the gardens. 1/2 hour before breakfast and a 1/2 hour after supper. It's a smother crop. Weeds don't grow if they can't get sun. The soil doesn't dry out as readily and it's good to move a bit. Peening the blade took a while to get the hang of but they're cutting pretty god now.
Will Lee on tuba!? Can the man play any bass instrument?
Mrs Vilve Yachke made the cabbage rolls and the coffee
Leutonia must be near Ukraine and Lithuania 😊
what a gem!
as always, our thanks to mrs vilviachky for providing the cabbage rolls and coffee...
I kinda think that the comments here will be a blast.
I hear the seeds for the Festrunk brothers...my gosh what creative geniuses these two
When the Schmenges retired, the polka world lost its soul.
"It was almost a moving experience".
😱. OMGSH 🤯 beyond genius
I miss SCTV, it was great while it lasted.
VESTRON VIDEO!!!!!
Genius
Outstanding tuba playing
I'm wondering if this was on an old video disk player. The kind you insert & it takes the disk & push up the lever to play it.
This movie was originally released in 1985 so I think prominent movie tape players were VHS at the time but I can't say for sure. I was 14 years old.
Tuba solo...or dying elephant.
"I did find myself and I was right where I thought I was".
I defy anyone to come to this being depressed and not come away with a smile.
Man we miss this, they were great!!!
SNL had nothing on SCTV
Rather confused to find this video has actually NOTHING to do with the song “The Last Polka” by Ben Folds Five lmao 😭
It is a spoof of the last waltz
Laughing my ass off😂😂😂😂😂I never saw this before!! Anyone agree??
41:15 , it’s a shame for the children really , because they are missing out on not buying the polka music …. Lol .
Polka ain't dead, and never will be!
I thought they were just playing characters, didn’t know they could really play music.
The pride of Leutonia!
THE WORLD OF POLKA HAS NEVER BEEN THE SAME SINCE THE SCHMENGES HAVE PUT THE INSTRUMENTS AWAY AND RETIRED , AND I THINK I CAN SAY THE WORLD HAS NEVER BEEN THE SAME ALSO . THE WORLD IS NOW A SAD PLACE TO BE
Sit back, enjoy some cabbage rolls and coffee, and some serious Schmenge tunes. If that doesn't make life worth living, then I am not knowing what is going to be making it worth living.
Mmm mmm good!
I need a Strikes, Spares, & Schmenges t-shirt.
How could that NOT put a smile on your face 😂
John Candy is truly missed😢He was a wonderful person
88 albums in one and a half years? That's one new album every 6.22 days, on average!
RIP, Yosh, but Stan still going strong! ❤️
Not clapping in time drives me nuts
Oh man I love this song, awesome cover!
Yes they are playing…..Canadian kids learned to play an instrument starting in elementary school. Grade 4 . 🤣 lots of band camp geeks…that’s what makes this even funnier….because they are playing for real 🤣🇨🇦. I played trumpet. Oh and my neighbours were Ukrainian🇺🇦. I grew up with an extra Baba & Gigi🥰
Getting it done eh.
slowly but yes :)
..sounds like a plan...
I don't know anything except for what I plan on doing tomorrow. The easiest thing I've got to do is move this building.
