Cool effect at at the bend, lots of interesting contrast between the cars. The empty carriers in the sun look pretty pretty and they cast cool shadows. The view from the shadowed side is really interesting.

Oops! looks like the tripod mount failed at 2:20. It's no fun looking trying to re-center the view in telephoto. But the view of the train bending at the switch is really cool. More nice shadows and light on those hopper cars. Solid camera work towards the end. Love the dude crossing the tracks right after the train passes

The shadows on the cars look great. This is great lighting. It would be neat to see the same view except on the other side of the track so that the cars are lit. Love the sections with a still camera.

You are getting a lot of great stuff: the long zoom, the Dracula graffiti, the noise, the lights reflecting off the track, the lighting at dusk. I watched all the way to the end. You can take your videos to the next level with a little editing to remove the zooms and change in focus. The shots where the camera is steady and in focus are really looking good! Good editing is a lot of work, but along the way you see more details and the upload is smaller. Keeps it up! I'm loving the dusk and reflections off the track!

From the Topo map it looks like you were filming from about 129 ft above sea level. The bottom of the hill is around 100 ft and the road crossing is back at 125 ft. So the downhill is only 30 feet over half a mile. That "kink" is going from 1 percent down to 1 percent up!

I found this spot! Jamestown Rd near Brogdon. That road where the truck crosses at 2:36 is more than a mile away. Now the grade doesn't seem so steep. The zoom makes for awsome shots.

Were are you filming from? What are the cross streets? I want to find a elevation map and check out the grade.

The long zoom shots make for some awesome reflections off the rails!

Check out the warped rails at 2:06. The camera angle makes it look bigger, but you can see the locos rocking as they go by. Probably a very well used section of track! Nice cinematic look at the start. Is this with the new camera?
