I first saw this in the cinema when it came out in 1971. I would have been about 8 years old and I never forgot it. Then Dad recorded it from the television and we played it till the tape wore out. Now we have the DVD. That is Alexander Grant dancing Pigling Bland - a wonderful dancer. He also appears in the black and white version of La Fille Mal Gardee as Alain the fool and again is absolutely amazing. There is a Sleeping Beauty film with Nureyev and Fonteyn in which he appears as the Bluebird - and the list goes on. He was an absolutely terrific dancer and one to watch out for.
This entire segment has haunted my memory for years. As soon as i saw pigling bland on his toes i had vivid flashbacks to seeing this as a kid
then it did its job :D
😁😁
El final es algo abrupto.
Gran bailarina👀👋🌹🌿🌹🌿🌹🌿

What is all this from
This is a little late but it’s from the Tales of Beatrix Potter Ballet!
It's from the Tales of Beatrix Potter film of 1971, choreographed by Sir Frederick Ashton with the Royal Ballet dancing and Sir Frederick Ashton dancing Mrs Tiggywinkle at the beginning and end.

Boy oh boy does this bring back memories!!! I had not heard Anneliese's voice in almost exactly 30 years, but within the first 10 seconds of the "class with Anneliese" video, I was transported back in time, remembering and almost anticipating her words and vividly remembering her tone and inflection and most especially her wisdom, kindness, generosity and iron-clad standards. I think of her often, and every time I entered a studio or a theatre to dance or perform I owed that privilege to her. Likewise, every time I enter a studio to teach or conduct a rehearsal all I am doing is passing on that which I have learned from many people in many places over many years (with a little creativity and insight of my own), but the foundation for all of that was given to me by Anneliese (and Anita, Bev, Mary, Laura, Jeannie of course but they were AvO acolytes, also passing on her wisdom and philosophy), and one of my greatest regrets is that I was never able to tell her this. Thank you!
Do it cost a lot of money to there like Cincinnati ballet does. Because I really want to go there
I love this
