Social-Emotional Learning at Our Hermosa Schools
At Hermosa Schools, we prioritize social-emotional learning and student wellness. Our student’s emotional resiliency is the foundation of academic success. From school-wide activities to small group counseling, we foster a positive and inclusive environment. Our dedicated school counselors provide care both inside and outside the classroom. The Wellness Centers at each school allow our counselors to run lunch programs such as Friendship Club and Mindful Art Club.
Thanks to the generous support of our Hermosa Beach Education Foundation, we can help our students thrive academically and emotionally, feeling supported every step of the way.
Thank you, and a big shout out to our HVS Counselors, Troi Boucher (View & Vista) and Cassy Ryley (Valley), who do amazing work with our students every day.

Welcome Back to the Best Little Beach School
Just watched multiple videos from retirement awards to teachers not being rewarded. Sounds like the person rewarded everyone needs to be talked to. The ones I saw rewarded does not deserve it. Areas I saw praise I'd give so much criticism. What a shame.
I graduated Hermosa Valley in 2008. I was bullied consistently there by a majority of classmates and administrators, including the principal at the time. I wouldn't recommend this school to anyone I care about.
MISS BROWNNNN
❤❤❤
Oh please. It's not the bikes. It's those who ride them.
I started as an e- board rider and learned the hard way... lost use of 1/2 my right hand because i was not wearing wrist guards and fell at less than 15mph...PLEASE GEAR UP!!!
Chat, is this real??
Obviously not! But please be careful!
Be safe
I'm going to miss Hermosa Valley, thank you for everything.
im glad. its never too late.
That is so fake, nobody is getting knocked out like that at that slow of a speed. Quit fear mongering people.
It is suppose to be a joke to prove a point :)
Yes I found your TH-cam channel
When riding an electric bike is always safe to wear helmet, a friend of mine almost lost his life because he wasn't wearing his helmet riding his electric bike
There are still so many TH-cam videos about why people shouldn't wear a bike helmet. What a joke
We love Mrs Peng and HBCSD!!! Couldn’t be happier with how well my daughter is doing in TK!!!
Why did you change the name? You couldn't have kept even that little piece of North School's legacy?
The spirit of North School lives on but our other two schools have HVS initials. Keeping all three schools as HVS carries on another HBCSD tradition and also saved our parent/teacher organization (HVPTO) from having to rename themselves (HVVNPTO?)
Can you show us the science labs and the gymnasium?
New school new name?
This was really great. Wish I caught it when it first went live but given we are transitioning to something new again, this was perfect timing for our family. Thanks for this!
Excellent. So glad you’re with us. Thank you, Dr. Johnson and the board who elected you. Looking forward to your efforts.
