Just a tall guy on a motorcycle going off-road, camping, taking roadtrips, doing reviews, and general non-sensory all on my Honda Africa Twin. Welcome to Tall Man Moto!
The Laziest Install Video Ever: Clean Speed Stepped Brake Pedal
Got dropped pegs and an already maxed out on adjustment brake pedal that still sits a little too high? This stepped brake pedal was exactly what I was looking for! It might be simple, but it's still really entertaining... come hang out in the garage with me while I perform the laziest and possibly most entertaining install video on youtube today.
Here's the one I bought, but find what fits your bike: cleanspeed.net/product/stepped-brake-pedal-tip-angle-mount/

9/10 good bailing form
Greetings, As always another brilliant detailed video production 🇺🇲🍾🎉🇺🇲 Do you know if the rear shock is shorter? Thank you so much for assisting me and keep producing more videos. Note: if it's i will install in my new crf300 regular.
I'm confused...
Good job sticking it out ... I know you'll get flooded with instructions ... hopefully some will help you get more comfortable in those conditions. When in dry loose gravel, especially in corners, get on the pegs. Steer the bike with your feet. Being in the saddle is bad as washing the front is a much higher risk ... and if/when the bike reacts in a manner that your not in tune with you are going for a ride. That last low side is an example of that. Keep logging those miles!
You need some better curse words.
Perfect! 10!
6/10
I'll take a passing grade. 😆
You went full pig pen on us Dude!!🤣😎🤙🏻 Glad you’re ok.
Is that Tyee?
It's wherever I followed Pete to. 😆😆
@@TallManMoto copy that! I believe that’s the Tyee lookout
5 hrs away😂 gonna have to plan that someday. Can u camp up there?
WOW that's friggin amazing brother 👊
8/10 - "Fox do a barrel roll!"
Remember: ItS nOt A dIsMoUnT iF tHe BiKe DrOpS. 😆
That’s pure TNMT style moves right there!
Exactly what I was going for. Muddied the landing though. 😆
Ktm 500 is very similar motorcycle
Basically different linkage and plastics, yeah? Great bikes!
Add a more aggressive rear tire and front…
Add a get EcU and a tail pipe slip on….adds some power and helps with the low speed stal
Neutral San found when the bike is in motion not easy when stopped
Still working on this feat. 😆
Hey local moto rider😂 Just looking at buying a 501 . Great video. Subscribed . Hr north of ya..love forestry rds and no roads. 😂
It's a great choice!
8/10 for zero injuries
I went to that spot today for new tires and service. Great spot!
I really like Everett Powersports and how they do business. Nice to have a genuinely local feeling dealership.
Glad to see a review from a tall rider. Off topic, but what do you do for wind management? I ride with the windscreen off, which helps with buffetting but still really loud.
I recently sold the Twin and picked up an FE501s, but I had a tall puig screen on the Twin. And I've had this jacket a bit now and really love it. Fits great and the sleeves coming off makes it so versatile.
@TallManMoto I have a 2022 africa twin and love it but wind management has been a challenge. I'll look into a taller screen. It seems like they need to be really tall to get the wind over the top. I made a seat pad that is about 3 inches thick and that made a big difference. Still in the prototype phase though.
Get a 5/16 socket. Your daughter is a rock star.
That's them long poles you call legs just stepped right off
I was off the bike and in a different zip code. 🤣
Sorry brother it's a zero if the bike hits the ground It's not a Dismount.
Don't be a party pooper...
@@TallManMoto 🤣
Ewwww
I agree with Critter the dismount was clean, it displayed confidence and composure 🤣🤣🤣 but you get a bonus point for realizing the double-take mirror moved from the want list to need list. I know of a great place to get them 😂😂😂
Wait, where? No don't tell me I Amazon same-day'ed a set and they're already here. 😆
I agree with critter 7/10
Oh that’s a solid 7/10. The classic “I’m walking to the right while my bike takes a nap” move 👍🏻 👏🏼 👏🏼 👏🏼
"I'm waaaalllkin' 'eeuh!!"
Lol
Fucking killer short 😂❤
But did it convince you to buy socks from motocampnerd.com? 😉
@@TallManMoto no, I have good wool socks already and I spent way too much money there this week getting other things hahaha
@@KnightofRosubias As long as your money is going to MCN one way or another and not REI. 🤣
@@TallManMoto I spent too much lol. New tent and the tail bag dry bag
Merino wool socks are no fucking joke. 10/10
Huge Congrats!! Hope you find some new trails to explore and spots to say!
Great looking bike. Congratulations!
I could take you're bike and race a hundred mile Enduro .. you're bike is awesome.. remember be awesome with the front brake. And life ain't no fairytale...what you're doing is what i want to do
It's so insanely capable out of the box! It'll enjoy a mostly tame life with me. 🤣🤣
Nice bike. Congratulations!
Awesome! Love that bike.
You could be riding a Vespa and I’d still watch your videos, congrats mate 👍
I'd rock a vespa. 🤣🤣 Glad you're enjoying the content; I really appreciate the statement.
I can't wait to ride a 2020 Husky FE501s....I wonder when that opportunity will present itself/???? I wonder! Great job Dude! At least that sweater is retired now!
You don't like my sweet work attire? 🤣🤣
Congrats brother 👊
The excitement when you’re picking it up….infectious! Congratulations man!!
It's the best!!!
Congrats bud!!!
Thanks man. Little slow on content release, but. Still fun to add to my TH-cam bin of memories.
First!
😆🤣🤣
Congrats my dude
So loving this bike.
Stuff like this is why I’ve decided to keep my KTM 450 EXC-F.
I could be doing it on the old Twin... But it's just so easy on the 501; and I'm not in my head about it at all... I can't wait to get back out there and film the whole of Rat Trap Pass.... Really fun road.
Pretty dam perfect brother 👊
I don't mean to throw shade at you, but all big adventure bikes would clear this with a half decent/experienced rider Hell, probably even just coasting with the engine off
I bet you're a real treat at parties.
@@TallManMoto some people just can't take any form of criticism at all.
Stating the blaring obvious isn't exactly criticism... But... Thanks for being here.
Lol okay big boi. You're soooooooo cool. 😂🤦
I don't mean to throw shade... proceeds to throw it all the way across the field
Looks like the Rat Trap Pass washout?
Tis indeed. I'm gonna go back with the cameras and actually cover the whole thing. That road is so simple but fun. It's like just enough terrain to have to pay attention, but you can still move quick over the whole thing. I wanna see if I can get all the way to the blocked off bridge or if it has a point that's actually impassable for a bike.
@@TallManMoto The bridge on Suiattle River Road? I haven't done it since 2021, but it was pretty easy to get to that. Maybe you're referring to a different bridge.
removing what lever, please?…
I'd guess the gear lever? Should be the only lever that needs removal if I remember right?
Oh hayyy big boi
That's a steal with those modifications.
I'm obsessed with this bike. Best purchase I've made to date.
@@TallManMoto I bought a 23’ last year with 66 miles on it at my Harley dealership. They made me a good deal to “get it off their showroom.” The guy had traded it for a Pan America and they said he was a big guy. I’m guessing that one trip down the 101/1 here in Humboldt County and he decided that he wasn’t gonna keep up with the liter+ bikes. I’m setting it up similarly, same rear rack, Acerbis tank, a Warp 9 rear wheel with Cush drive… I want to hit the BDRs starting this Summer. Being remote, I don’t want to truck it everywhere, hence the Cush drive.
You're over on the peninsula? We should go for a ride sometime, I'm north of Seattle, Lynnwood area. Shoot me an email, same name at Gmail!
@@TallManMoto I might make it up there this summer. I'm in Northern California, the Eureka area.
You were flying on that trail , you better slow down so you dont hurt yourself.
Safety first! Always ride to your line of sight.
Public enemy number one over here...
I'm pretty badass. 😆😆
Is it really turning into one though...? 🤣
