Supperware Head Tracker initial test
มุมมอง 37หลายเดือนก่อน
Got a head tracker from work for doing ambisonics designs, and must say it feels pretty cool. It just spits out OSC data, so I guess you could use it for all sort of stuff. Like, headbanging to control the amount of distortion or something more clever. Trying it with a recording from our parking garage here #gameaudio
Audio Morphing using Oeksound Soothe
มุมมอง 932 หลายเดือนก่อน
Wanted to share this little morphing vocoder-like idea using Soothe - basically combining the delta and sidechain feature so you hear the resonances of another sound on the sound playing through Soothe. Works pretty well, I like what it does to the porridge and glass rubbing
Shimmery Drones - Stacking Zynaptiq Adaptiverbs
มุมมอง 63ปีที่แล้ว
Was doing a little CPU test, so I was stacking a several instances of Zynaptiq Adaptiverb reverbs. But before long I had ended up designing several shimmery drones designed from my recordings. Already have way too many of these in my library, but they always fun and meditative to make :D #sounddesign #gameaudio

Recorded some basic mouth pops with my CO-100k and put them into Sound Particles. Made some nice cartoony magic potions bubbles - in Ambisonics :D You could probably do something very similar with Wwise or FMOD #sounddesign #gameaudio #fieldrecording

beefiest fusion ive heard so far
I'm using soothe 2 as de-shrill and in side-chain mode but I've never thought about doing this :o What an awesome idea man! :D
What is the use of the TIL FRA lever?
Not sure. It means “to” and “from” so maybe if money are going in or out? 🤔
@@nikolajdehaan thanks
AMAZING!! I love all the layers and texture you added, swampy fits the assignment and who would've thought porridge = swamp?! So cool the amount of creativity that goes into this!
really well done! a breakdown for some of these weapon designs would be ace
awesome
No idea what you are doing. Regards.
I often feel the same way
this sounds incredible
what editor is this?

Using Midjourney as a visual prompt for sound design is a very neat idea! I'm currently on a daily sound design challenge(day 239, rn) and I often struggle to brainstorm what I should create. I might have to try out AI generative art in the future. Great sound btw.
Damn that is impressive. Do you upload your daily designs anywhere? Honestly I changed my mind on generative art, because I realized how bad all the scraping from artists without consent is. Comparing it with scraping sound libraries without consent made me realize what was going on. It’d suck if you could find AI generates elephant sounds that were trained on Bret Johns’ amazing elephant recordings or wolf sounds trained on Dmitry Chernov’s fantastic library. And I think this is basically how tools like Midjourney works, and I don’t want to support their business by using it anymore
Only wish the hand cannon had a bit more power to its shots, but other than that the sounds are amazing, especially the sniper. Hope you get to work on a bow in the future.
Destiny got the best sounds for weapons. well most of them. But yea, this season is exceptional. Sounds are so well made.
Thing sounds amazing
It’s been a long time since i played destiny is there infinite ammo now or something?
This is a dev build
A primaries do B its a dev build
Thanks didn’t know
The sound design for the weapons this season is probably my favorite, I love how chunky and kinda almost hollow-sounding they are, it really fits their aesthetic and the hive theming of Season of the Witch! 10/10! edit: I wrote this comment midway through the video. The subtle almost hungry growl on the scout rifle reload is SUCH a nice touch!!
Thank you, very happy to hear that! It took a lot of work to make these sounds feel just right :)
Wait a minute, is that a new arc hunter icon there? How?
Ey what's the super you have equipped?
Crazy good job on this one, kept confidence is easily one of the best feeling hand cannons and the sound design imo is the biggest part of it
Wait I just realized you have the new hunter super on LOL
Thanks for showing how to do it...
oooooooouh that's nice!
Thank you so much! Very helpful :)
Hey ! Nice one ! I tried it many time without success ! Can you tell the routing ? I think I missed something on mine.. Cheers
Basically you open the gain effect, drag from the "Route" button of the track you want to use a modulator and release mouse on top of the gain effect to create a 3+4 input. Then the routing should be set up correctly :)
@@nikolajdehaan Thanks mate, just after post my comment I found it ! With pleasure to share any other tips together ;)
this some neat stuff
Also, where did you get the sound effects for Danny?
Used all the bits and pieces from my sound library, the project with Danny's sounds had more than 300 tracks in it :)
Are you still apart of the NASB development team?
No I was freelancing during the development
Yet no per item playrate envelope (
That's the spirit
hi thanks for the video really unique, but if you have time can you make a longer and more detailed video about sidechain in Fmod, I'm just learning and it's pretty complicated to me. any1 thanks for the awesome tips
Ohhhhhhhh yeah love this using antique cash registers for cool rhythmic tracks yes I will add my antique cash registers that I collect to deep house lounge music oh so funky cool!!!
Oh, turns out that the group in the mixer isn't necessary after all. You can just use a global parameter and set it with a sidechain from the event you want to use for modulating other things :)
Do you know how you can add more dummy toggles to the action list ? ( I currently see only 8 and think I'll use them up pretty quickly)
@@BeastmodeBeats Thanks for the reply. However that question was for actions that don't have toggle states; hence the need for using "dummy toggles". However I have since been told that you can edit the toggles to create new ones just adding a different number at the end. I've since forgotten exactly where you do this...May simply be a case of duplicating a dummy toggle in the actions list and renaming it or there may be some deeper editing I'm not sure.
Justin Marcus have you tried looking in the SM ini file in the Reaper app data folder? Open it in notepad and see if you can increase the total value of dummy toggles
Justin Marcus And for the record you have to Change the line S&M_DUMMY_TGL=8 in S&M.ini (Options > Show REAPER resource path in explorer/finder). The maximum is 255.
@@BeastmodeBeats - Thank you for reminding me what it was that needed editing and where it's located! Yeah I think when I first found out I maybe edited it to create 16 or so. It would be nice if there was a more user friendly way to achieve that of course. But in any case they are super useful and I am glad that there is a way to increase the number available.
Justin Marcus No problem, I just found out a new way to control multiple parameters from two buttons in Reaper and just 2 cycle actions
Wowza soooooooo love this since collect antique cash registers this is soooooooo what I want to do to my deep house lounge music that I got from my friend JK who's friends did at NYCHA so yeah!!!!
