not trying to be rude but how do you want to be close with him if you have not mastered the track?

You weren't in track limits on turn 1 though...

some tips: -when turning using a controller put the joystick on the rim so the steering is as smooth as possible -you're turning too much into corners which hurts your acceleration out of them it also might make you hit the wall like you did in turn 3(P.S if you mess up the exit of one corner you might mess up the exit of all the ones after it) -put your assits to medium or less -you're not going wide enough for the entry of corners -you underestimate the power of the car by braking at corners usually flat out like 13-14 or turns that just need a little press of the brakes like the swimming pool chicane(15-16) -while I do discourage going on the racing line too much as it's not the optimal line, you stay away from it too much. -you turn too early which makes the turn you're doing even tighter which hurts acceleration even more.

u do realize charles is in qualifying and you're in race u have more fuel in that setting which makes you slower and u have traction control and abs on which makes you slower overall and u have medium tyres which usually have less grip than softs and idk if u use default setups, if u use them it will make a big difference in ur overall speed, make a setup which suits u

Doesn't count when you have dynamic racing line on. You're told exactly the line to follow and when to brake. You'd have to be an idiot not to get a good time with DRL on.

Here’s some tips: you should higher your difficulty because you shouldn’t be 1 sec in front all the time, don’t enter the first chicane straight unless your overtaking you need to go much faster on the chicane
