Hi Jimbo, thanks so much for your video. My instructor tells me that head and shoulder checks are two different checks and that every time I'm making a turn or any kind of lateral movement I need to check 90° (he calls this the head check) and then roughly 140° to my back window (he calls this the shoulder check). Are these meant to be separate checks and do I have to do them like this every time I'm diverging? Thanks!

can you also tell about the steering position in reverse parallel ,like where to move and how much to move.. one and a half then reverse and then two turns ?

Yeah right my instructor that is teaching me making me do shoulder or like side checks going like right through roundabouts and it confuses me ans also says doing a right shoulder check when going into a right lane on adjusted to island lol is thid correct ive been watching your videos for a while now got me licence booked tomorrow 🤞

you mean if we are turning right and taking u-turn we need to put right indicator on and then left on for 5 secs?

what if we have foot break? so foot on break - gear on neutral and simultaneously put the foot break and then gear on park and engine off ... Right?

If we have to reverse so first we need to put indicator and gear on reverse then head checks, right?

Hey Jimbo, is it normal for a driving school to have you drive three different vehicles? I’ve driven two electric cars and one gas-powered car. I’ve also been learning to drive on the road for a bit, not just in parking lots. I’m from Canberra, and during my first-ever lesson, I was put on the highway right away. Is that a good sign for my confidence?

Hi Jimbo for me I use solid dividing line as reference to teach my student, that is very useful for most traffic light. If you could see dotted dividing line, should have enough distance to brake for yellow light, if only can see solid dividing line, don't have enough distance to stop safely . 😁

Is a car with a foot-controlled handbrake acceptable for the driving test? My car is 2014 Honda CR-V which is having a foot operated handbrake.

What about the signal moving away from the kerb?

I passed on my 3rd try at the RTA Singleton, NSW on the 25/9/2024 Your an absolute ledgand, Jimbo (Also may I suggest while TH-cam is great and a great platform to use to teach driving, alot of people (especially young teens, adult's) love watching tiktok these days, I suggest also making an account on tiktok for people to watch and learn and to teach people how to pass their test if you dont already have one, cheers kimmy,)
