GSX-750 with Danmoto Conical GP Pipe
มุมมอง 11K10 ปีที่แล้ว
2001 Suzuki GSX-750 (Inazuma) with a Danmoto Conical GP stainless steel pipe. Extremely cheap, and very loud. Very well built for the price, I'm quite impressed by this product.

Such cool little-bikes , a local guy used to ride its 'bigger-brother' in the Manawatu (back in the day) , he'd wheel-stand passing cars that were doing 60mph !
Awesome bike, good luck with the sale! I saw an A7 race at Pukekohe back in the 70's, maybe Eric Bone riding? Front brake let it down!
Thanks! Front brake hasn't changed, still woeful.
I have a 2019 701 husky and pretty much agree
Number 1: Bury those pink shorts in the back yard. Number 2: Build this bike with a 29" seat height, and I'll buy one.
How could a bike like this ever work with such a low seat height? It would be an entirely different bike.
@@WheatMillington I was kidding, but now that you mention it, why can't I have EVERYTHING I DESIRE?
The dashboard is perfect! You don't need a gear indicator or a rev limiter! Stop asking for stuff you don't need!
k
I am considering one of there but sad to hear it vibrates. It shouldnt for that price.if it vibrates the same or less that my XT660 then its ok
I will try to implement it on my ELS version of Clough42. For me it has to be minimal twice the resolution as shown to be accurate enough though like gear-cutting. For automatic precise rotation of the chuck (and locking) I can use the Rotary Head Controller and then the ELS to display the angle. Thanks for the great video.
did you ever end up trading for a different bike or getting the newer verison of this bike? interested in your thoughts
Nice work, is there any info on this
I would also like more info please.
Ngl you remind of a Sheldon that rides motorcycles. Brilliant review!
Good review. Thanks
Wow there are some penises in these comments. Great bit of insight mate, I've just bought a 2nd hand 2017 701 and can't find any replacement chain & sprocket kits that look any good, any recommendations are welcome, cheers.
"Its shocking" i see what you did there
You said: You probably want to look at doing a remap if you got a 2016 and a power commander if you got a 2017. Could you please explain the difference and why you want each for each model?
People buy a supermoto and expect cruiser features... c'mon...
huh?
Dudes like i dont like this bike its too sporty, the seat is too hard XD
Everything you said is spot on. My biggest gripe is no tachometer. But otherwise it's a nearly perfect motorcycle. How difficult was it to apply those wheel graphics? I'm thinking about getting a set.
The wheels stickers were a ball-ache to apply. The result was less than stellar, which annoyed me at the time. But the truth is that no one sees the tiny creases and imperfections, and it really doesn't matter that they didn't go on perfectly. Don't let the difficult application stop you from doing it.
Does it drink oil my brother?
Nope.
Are those custom graphics and rims? If so, what company did you purchase them from? Are they good in terms of durability? Thank you!
Just decals on the standard wheels. Sorry I don't remember where I got them, but they were quite durable.
one advice, adult man dont wear pink shorts
Does it make you feel sexually threatened?
Ive ridden /owned bikes from 1984 in all weather all year round. from choppers , Superbikes, 3Ltr trikes to Ducati 1100s hypermotard etc etc. This is my 3rd Supermoto but 1st ever KTM or husky (701SM 2017) . haven't had it long but seems flat at low revs compared to XR650R (un-corked SM) . Already have changed can to Akra and better air intake system, Evo map. Will change the final drive gearing to 15/42 soon as I think this bike def needs it. I think this bike is way too high geared as standard. Colours are prob the worst thing about this bike but easily changed. Hope Acerbis will bring out plastics soon. Why did Husqvarna make the wheels black ?, A nice set of spoked wheels should stand out imo like the KTM ones. I like the lack of instruments ,it keeps things simple. Overall I think its a good bike for fun. If i could change only one thing it would be to put the fuel tank up front , and get rid of the bulkiness at the rear
they sound about the same volume, but the baffle robbed low growl some, to me any way. I just put this on an Africa Twin, it's unbearably loud. Illegal goes without saying and DM did not include the baffle as I requested.
The boardcomputer is perfekt 👌 I❤️it
Thanks for the video! Whats the part number for the case saver please, i cant seem to find it by google search.
iam maybe SM biased, but i rly do think SM-Bikes are the best for beginners, because they are so light and easy to handle.
It also helps learners get used to tall bikes, which is super helpful because it gives them way more options in the future.
I did my preload adjustment with the shock installed. Learn how to use tools to your advantage. Took me 15 minutes to set sag.
Hi, I really need dB killer for mine so where did you get your ? Thanks
Thank you so much for pronouncing Husqvarna properly!!! I think people who say husk-UH-varna are my biggest annoyance in the motorcycle world.
I have the enduro version. If you look at one for its off road capabilities it’s incredible. As a supermoto I still think it’s better than most people’s home built supermoto but it’s still not the best road bike.
just put a deposit on a 2019....will be in driveway in 2 weeks ;) heard suspension on 2019 a bit better then 2018... stoked either way
Ktm dash is worst mate
Don’t worry about gear indicator and rev counter. 1 you should be looking at the road and not your display screen. 2 if you don’t know what gear you are in then you should not be riding.
LOL OK buddy, you're obviously the expert.
Your bike needs a remake by a racer. Get rid of thise gay mirrors as well.
The bike is great but after 1,5 years and 10,000 km, I have had some minor issues. Broken clutch cylinder (very common issue with 701), leaky break reservoir cap (also very common) and air in the break fluid. They were clearly saving on the manufacturing costs here. Also an after-market exhaust / slip on is a must have on this bike. Oil and fuel consumption are super-low though.
How many miles have you done? Has the bike been reliable? Does it use oil?
I use ASV Short levers. It's really needed to be able to shift properly.
I agree. The ASV levers are awesome, but sooo expensive.
I am 6.4 tall, did 701 will be uncomfortable for me, im mean to low?
No it won't be too low for you IMO. You might want to drop the pegs a tad though.
I don't like your shorts ya kiwi 🥝! Seriously though, you went with those?
I have fabulous legs.
@@WheatMillington touché WP sir
I was also here to make fun of the shorts, but I see I have been beaten to the punch. Ride safe
Nice short and clear review. How is the seatheight? I am 1.72m, do you think that's okay? What is your length?
I'm short, 1.65m. The bike would be fine at your height, as long as you're confident riding a tall bike. It's light and very easy to handle.
@@WheatMillington wait chris i am 1.67 can i touch the ground with my both feet ?
@@Thisfutureman Probably not, but you don't need to, do you?
no fuel indicator?
Cant comfortably sit at a 100 km/h ? it tops out at about 220 km/h on every other video so i cant see why it couldnt comfortably do 100+ ?
You misunderstood what I said. I'm talking about rider comfort, not bike comfort. Also 220km/h? I doubt it, especially on stock gearing.
For longer rides, It's actually comfortable until like 120 km/h. Going 120-140km on a highway is uncomfortable but doable for shorter rides with breaks in-between them. Going over 140 km/h is just plain uncomfortable on this bike and your hands will hurt from the vibrations after like 5 min. 220 km/h is BS.
MY humle guess is it tops 170-180 km
@@TH-cam_Globetrotter 190 km/hr I just did on my 2018 701
Great review. I own one too and love it. Your review hits the mark on every aspect though. Personally use mine for inner city riding and i find it to be perfect for that use. Definitely avoid long highway rides.
I’m a couple months late but this review is really good.
Love it man
Great review
Good review mate, nice to see one focus on the pros and cons.
Hi mate sweet bike I'm looking to get a 2018 701 but now wandering if there will be a updated 2019 anyone know?
I'm also interested in the 701, however my dealer told me to wait. KTM will release a new sumo in 2019, you will probaply see it at eicma. The prototype has already been sighted during testing look into it. It's probaply going to be the better one of the two, if only for the KTM dash.
@@jonass9933 sound cheers mate. The only thing I've always had huskys since 125 2smoker days and mates with ktms are alway in the garage where the husky was hardly in the garage and the service intrs on the husky are 6k miles where as a ktm is like every 20hours or something so running cost would be higher on the ktm
what kind of supermoto? 690?
@@jonass9933 You'll pay a nice premium for it.
Everything looks the same except the decals, even they haven't changed much
pretty fair assessment.
Does it still run in 2018?
I no longer own this bike, but I assume it still runs. Great bike, I'm thinking of getting another as a project.
did you need to rejet? was the original full Yoshi?
+Laurence Bell No, didn't rejet and bike the ran great. The original was just the stock pipe, not Yoshi.
