Why are you so negative?
Ive had alot of issues similar to this that are solved by clearing the cmos inbetween part replacments.
Wasn't there another fan that went on the back of that 3060? If I'm not mistaken, Oc cards have a fan on the back too. I have had a few with the fan a bunch missing the fan.
no fan on the back if this one
@@rohon4972 Yes, isn't it is missing?
@@Adam-Meino its not… im guessing your thinking of the founders card
He paid well over the odds for the stuff ha ha that will teach him to look up how much the stuff is before buying it lol this happens when you think you know it all and you know nothing like I been saying about the moron moron moron.
That is very true I don't know everything when it comes to Parts I constantly have to look up to see what it's worth and I did put this system in a new case the build I think is post but it hasn't gone live yet
Nice deal
The fans toward the end of the video are Apevia brand. (El cheapo) Apevia LP412L-RGB Lunar Pro to be precise. 4 pack on Amazon is $29 I tried a set once, they all started making noise at about two months in and a few stopped completely a couple of weeks later. YMMV. Good luck!
Glad you got it working. You kinda lost me on what the fix was. How did you fix it?
Shouldn't affect the GPU going on that SSD heat sink
Hate a-data SSD so much, give blue screen or don't boot
Never mix power cords on PSU when it's modular it's dangerous make sure it from the same PSU
should be fine if theyre the same voltages
this power supply is just bad it had little metal flakes coming out of it and if I do mix cables I double check them to make sure the pinout is right
Had same issues with an MB as well, only CPU would work was a Ryzen 7 1700 no other ryzen worked
Prob bios update for that CPU
I had that same motherboard I got on amazon for a friend a few weeks back to build them a pc and it wouldn't post until I flashed the bios. I was using a Ryzen 7 5700x. I think the board is probably new old stock an it's using an older bios that doesn't support 5000 series cpus out of the box.
you could see his mistake way before he spotted that digital interface cable still plugged in to motherboard what a moron.
the other video he on about is a video to show you that you never ever give him your computer parts to test as the way he pushes the cpu into the socket is bad never mind this part goes in here this part comes out i will plug the cables back in pull them out again move graphics card again put power cables back in why why why all you had to do was pull card out move in to next slot still with power cables still in it and you gave up to soon may be it needs a bios update ,lol.
I had to save you from Satan..you were at 666 subs 😂 🇨🇦🤓✌️
@@garymallard4699 just in time that was a close one.
I would love to see more of that beautiful piece of art on your wall, seems to me like you were testing without having known good parts, like at the beginning you got a post an all but once you put the RTX in you are getting all sorts of problems, I had an Aorus motherboard and still do, and it's working fine, but I did notice that after putting the graphics card in it would no longer post with the onboard graphics, it's a X570 Elite, and it's as if it rewrote its own bios after putting a graphics card in and disabling the onboard graphics, it's still working fine with the graphics card, but I think if I wanted to go back to using onboard graphics I would have to re-flash the BIOS
@@SusanAmberBruce they wasn't for sure but they were assuming that motherboard was good and the CPU was bad and then the video card he only had two eight pin connectors on his power supply so yeah basically all was untested and the power supply had actually metal shavings falling out of it that he brung
@@rohon4972 O dear, metal shavings, that's bad.
Linux should be happy on that old workstation. Unfort it'd be good for a basic surf the internet machine, not for gaming.
K19 is the internal nomenclature for the cpu architecture generation. For example the K7 was the first athlon series from 1999
ok cool
if you look up the reviews on the silicon power m.2s people say they fail after about a year. Look up the reviews on those SP m.2 drives
I have gotten a lot of SATA SSDs from them and they run for years not one has failed that I know about I just have not used the NVMe one
Nice Upgrade For Mic
Thank you
0:28 You Can Get Cable For PSU From CableMod (I Think)
35 mins in . try the other 16 times pcie slot. the old graphics card only uses 8 times slot. something could be wrong with , the next 8.
@@derekwilson285 I did
I dealt with that same B550 AORUS Elite AX V2 motherboard a few weeks ago for a friend when I was building. Would not post with a 5700x. Turned out the bios on the board was not playing nice with the chip and I had to QFlash the bios to get the board to work.
I also want to say when I QFlashed the bios it took about 10 minutes for the flash to start and complete.
@@oOignignoktOo1 cool
I suspect that the Hyper 212 cooler isn't up to the task of keeping the 5800X cool. It is a warm running CPU. I have also found that Ryzen CPUs are prone to having failed memory channels, I had a 5800X that at first worked fine the first time I tried it, a few minutes later it wouldn't post, so I went down to a single RAM stick, and found that it would post with memory in one channel but not the other, it eventually started causing blue screens, I had a 3100 that did similar, except it has been working for a good while in single channel, it is rough because that CPU needs every bit of performance from the platform it can get, and on Ryzen single channel is bad.
Good video. I’ve been thru similar confusing repair attempts too. It feels like these components were not treated with care by the previous owner. You got them free I hope 🙂. Let us know what you discover. I’m curious. So you know, the longer the video went, your audio and video got out of sync too. Keep up the good work. 👍🏻
Ok thank you for letting me know about the audio
That's a decent computer. Is it DDR3? I got a Dell Elite Desk G4 and has 16gb ddr4 I5-8500k, 256gbssd, keyboard, mouse and monitor for $150....so you got a great deal there. I had to get a GPU for mine and those dell jewel cases are a pain which one can appreciate the no tools cases, but this thing is packed tight and it's hard to get in and look around in them. Where does Good will sell stuff online? On Ebay? Well, thanks for sharing your goodwill purchase, not bad.
Thanks for this video I only buy Dells from Midwest computers great place great deals etc...
@@technicallyeasier yeah there's a place here about 30 miles out that's called Midwest brokers it's pretty cool place to buy computer parts from they recycle and sell anything that's still good That's somewhat modern
he say it will not support win 11 natively oh my he really should not be fixing computers let alone RYZEN 5 computers if he does not know what a moron moron moron.
don't even know why he even bothered at all windows 10 support gone just after December then and windows 11 will not work on that FX chip unless he get illegal copy windows to remove TPM so that it will work but will have to be a recent copy as there removing support for older windows 11 lets see what the moron will do. moron moron moron.

Nice video. I might make a complete list of all the hardware in both systems and combine the best of both into one. :)
I looked up this company BOXX in Tx, they make high end workstations and rackmount servers. I have never heard of them before but I like the offerings. This looks like it was a workstation class machine in 2013 (going by the release date for the Intel 4th gen i7 and Nvidia Quadro K2000)
I have the same case missing the side panel, that's a nice setup for $130
Thank you
Like the case
By the way, who knitted the star afghan hanging on the wall?

@rohon4972 It's quite nice.
With that cooler you should be able to push the processor to 5Ghz at least.
very few 4790k's hit 5ghz
I got a 7th gen laptop for cheap but it refuses to recognize the SSD and I even bought an SSD and it didn't work. I did get Linux to run off a USB but it just wouldn't notice the SSD. Maybe the SSD connection is messed up.
I've ran into a problem with some OEMs would not recognize and SSD because you need the specific drivers and windows doesn't have it
Same problem. Had given up on SSD but when i run driver easy and do full updates on the mobo. It detects ssd. Maybe driver update is just what it needs
i had early argos delivery shift in the morning fraid i feel asleep, probably have to watch this again sometime.
BTX cases blow. Antec is typically a quality built PSU.
BTX is trash
Soo fucking jealous
Unless it is loud let it run at full speed. The pumps wheel is tiny, it often runs at 3-4x the speed of the case fans. As for the radiator fans: keep them around 1000-1200rpm for silent running and rump them up if your cpu temperature goes above 60°C! If it is a 120mm radiator you can remove one fan without further ado. Otherwise make a test run with on fan. Nothing can go wrong, but if you are not satisfied with the cooling capacity mount the radiator to the top!
Less stress on the actual hardware, bearing, motor, etc. The fans typically handle it better unless you have major swings in rpm on a couple degree increments. Pumps have to deal with the increased stress from the water, both spinning up and slowing down. The manual should have a section on the preferred speed it should run at, though you can experiment. If you have a quiet pump, running it at 100% is perfectly fine. If it's a bit noisier, running it at 50/60/70/whatever% speed is fine, so long as temperatures are fine.
yes it pump was running quiet at 100%
Pump (and fans) lasts longer if they are running at a set rpm rather than increasing and decreasing rpm regularly. Pump is fine at 100%, and fans depends on the load and the kind of fans, as some are higher rpm and/or cfm than others. If you don't care about noise and want the absolute best thermals, go max rpm. Otherwise, one of the best things about a bigger aio is to have the fans run slower and producing less noise, while still offering good cooling.
Shop Goodwill is using snipe bidders to run the price up against federal law. They should be investigated
The GPU is fine for light and casual gaming, perfect for an Optiplex with an F sku CPU (I have a habit of buying dirt cheap Optiplexes for the i7 to upgrade a gaming rig with an i3 (basically free i5 is good as well).
