Wer ein Problem hat weiter schalten. Ich hatte kein Problem. Singen war ihre Freude, ihr Leben. So ist das mit dem älter werden. Ihre Presänz war schon gut. Sie wollte nochmal auf der Bühne sein und ein letzes mal singen. Wie wollt ihr im Alter gesehen und behandelt werden❤Versteckt hinter Mauern😮 Keiner muss sich für irgend was schämen und so tun als gäbe es denjenigen nicht mehr. Auf einmal wie kann sie😢In den Glanzeiten ach da war sie gut und willkomnen. Es ist doch auch schön nur allein die Anwesenheit. und es zu Akzeptieren, so ist nun mal das mit dem Älter werden und sein. Hat jemand mal Monserat gefragt wie Ihr es geht, was sie fühlt . Nette Zeilen. Ohne von ihr zu erwarten inn dem Alter. Sie durfte jetzt sein und anbehmen. Das sollten wie lernen.

Edgardo....quite a recorded document from 1962....Domingo was 22, Pons was 64....and still in superb voice....my late grandparents saw her perform this role....at the Met, in New York...in 1932! Her cast mates were Beniamino Gigli as Edgardo( before his contract dispute with the Met) and Giuseppe di Luca as her father, Enrico....thank you.

Opera has given us many wonderful tenors with long and successful careers but young Pippo had the most beautiful ,and natural sounding, voice of all.

I can’t believe some people are actually trying to say that this sounds bad. Anyone who truly likes hearing opera will like many different singers… kaufmann so happens to have sung this amongst the best that i have heard, and i don’t possibly see how a true opera lover can dislike this.

Criticism of this performance will always fall on deaf ears. These are two of the greatest singers of all time singing spectacularly well, at the end of a very long evening (I heard Caballé sing this with Cianella and he was so hoarse by this moment he had to falsetto his way through to the end). No falsettos here. Corelli and Caballé both NAIL high B naturals. Her final high B is spectacular and musically valid- it’s the pedal note in the orchestra and Verdi would have had no problem with that. After all, he loved SINGERS!

Unfortunately the first two arias have been transferred too fast. The pitch comes out about a tone higher than it would have been recorded at. This becomes obvious when we get to the third aria and hear Monica Sinclair's voice at the correct speed.
