This is the future. No taxes, no social security or insurance to pay for employees. Don't need to care about congress's minimum salary increases everytime they see the population struggling because of their own reckless spending. Soon every restaurant will join this trend. There is no other way around it.

Let's imagine a vertical farm on a 10 hectares operated fully by AI and robots powered by solar. Maybe then we can see profits. Otherwise they cant compete with traditional agriculture.

That's what happens when idiots decide to pay sixteen year olds with no experience or sanitation skills twenty dollars an hour. Bravo robots!

You talk about how great so many of the ideas are... like these people created the idea of a data chain and almost insinuating that they were an unfortunate victim of a media hatchet job. The idea of selling the premixed pouches that are traceable is fine, but hardly innovating. This company (meaning the relevant employees) were living 100% in their bubble world created by stoking each others egos. There was NO reason for that press to cost $800, evidenced by their ability to chop the price in half. The cost of the bags is what pays for the ongoing cost to maintain the infrastructure of information... the machine should be as close to free as possible. A much better idea would have been to give the consumer a choice... a free machine with a subscription commitment, or a much lower cost machine that AT MOST covers its cost, knowing their business plan is (or should have been) based on the ongoing profit model of the required consumables. Honestly this is simply the first page out of “Opening a cellular service company.” Greed got in the way here... and they paid the appropriate price.
