That was my first time at an all Ireland final, with my Dad, I remember it so we’ll still to this day, it also cemented my love for Gaelic football, which I began playing at that time& had the pleasure of playing & winning on the hallowed ground two years later with Drimnagh Castle in 1966, wonderful memories, but I can’t help thinking of how the modern game is so much quicker, I don’t think any of the past teams would live with the modern game today. What a fluke of a goal by Rock Kyne the Galway keeper shouldn't have been on the pitch.The kick shouldn't have been taken while Heffernan was on the pitch attending McNally.

Galway should have won that game robbed if you ask me that sideline kick in the square and Dublin inside and nearly the full way in the goal batted it in very fortunate to get away with the win in that game Galway would have won and dublin got a soft free in that game as well
