They original had 12 episodes planned but because of a smaller budget CRWBY had to shorten it to 10 episodes unfortunately.

There was an after-credit scene at the end of volume 8, just a small scene with Cresent Rose in The Ever After. There wasn't an after-credit at the end of volume 7.

In the skies over Shade Academy, we see ships from every major kingdom....Atlas, Vale, and Mistral....and yes, somehow they rescued Amity as well. Ruby's message got out and was heeded.

12:24 the way Ruby reaches out for Crescent Rose as she's falling through liminal space is a parallel to the way Oscar reached out for Ozpin's cane while falling through the lower levels of Atlas....each embracing their destiny.....

Raven & Summer were still clearly friends, despite the tension in that scene. And it also recontextualizes Raven's hostility towards Ruby in Volume 5. Ruby looks so much like Summer it physically hurts Raven to look at her....an unwelcome reminder of unspeakable trauma....

I'm going to be honest. I kind of feel a little bit mad at yang since she showed more care for blake over volume 8 and some parts of 9 and I felt like yang could've shown a more caring reaction since its her sister 😅 but other than lets survive the wait for volume 10 together and I can't wait to watch your reactions to the next volume too :)

Im so late its just laughable but I'll say this anyway, while Cinder has had lines in the past about wanting power and wanting to be powerful what she really is fighting for is control, she never had a chance to be a kid, she was a slave girl even before the glass unicorn, she was traded out of convenience, she is desperate to get to a place where she answers to no one but herself. At a very young age no one cared about her well being so she likely doesnt see the actual value of anyone including herself. Very sad.

Subjecting a kid to trauma, reminds me of my childhood watching animated transformers movie

I think you handled this very tactfully. You laid out all the options for her and explained things fully so she could make an educated decision for herself. This is a tough episode that covers some heavy topics. It’s okay to not know how to handle things, but I think you did the best that you could. And when topics like this come up in real life, you’ll have something to help you explain and work her through those emotions. She was very brave for wanting to see things through even after you explained what would happen.

Fellow RWBY reactor here, and I’m also a teacher/nanny for little ones your daughters age! I didn’t watch this reaction because I’m still not able to rewatch this episode myself, but I’m commenting because I hope your daughter knows how brave she is, this is a hard episode for anyone to watch and I’m sure she did well. Also A+ parenting watching with her, I’m sure if she had any questions or concerns you were there for her.

RWBY volume 9 episode 9&10 finale reaction

This is such a dark episode, she was very brave for sitting through it and you all handled it very well

This was the darkest chapter yet. And I thought that Dark in Vol 8 was dark.

Just saw the Finale today, and wow, it was amazing! Made me shed a few tears as well. Can't wait to see your reactions to it!

I have so much respect for the way y'all approach these topics with your daughter and let her express and work through her thoughts. I know you've already watched 8 but on the off chance you haven't watched 9 yet, just know that if the pacing feels a bit off, Eddie, one of the writers said it's really meant to be a two parter between 9&10. I had no problems with it personally, but I know others did. It's probably the most polarizing chapter this volume, which is unfortunate as I feel it still did alot of good things even with its shorter runtime.
