They are really beautiful birds. There was one that use to visit me for food, I'd throw bread for him and he'd catch it. It use to be like 2 or 3 feet away from me and I always thought he was probably someone's pet before

Just started this technique today, i'm still sitting in my conservatory with triggering in hand, so dont know whats on my card yet. Thought i'd come on here and see how to do it properly. Goes ok with soft light, but today its harsh and bright, so got my flash out its about 7ft away from focus point on 1/64 for the faster flash, but couldn't get any where near the 250 settings i was looking for. So thanks for the answer, will shop later for a few more flash lights. Ive been buying flannelette sheets for my backdrops for about £12. choice of colors. Ovcourse the birds like the expensive food, "meile" worms. I saw a guy on here in Oz using live meile. They work a treat down under, and oz robins are so beautiful. If possible could you share the address abroad for the humming bird shoots for my interest only. I understand if you dont want to for obvious reasons, Kind regards John

Use flash on birds if you hate birds. Otherwise it's bad for their health. Visit the National Audubon Society for tips on ethical photography.

i too became a backyard bird and small animals admirer during this pandemic time and bought by first canon power shot camera. Yeah, well that's a better view than I've ever gotten. I've only seen a leg here and an eye there, but never the entire bird at once!

Nice write up. I think mentioning that turning the exposure simulation would be helpful so you can see where you will pre-focus.

... If any bird comes with this WW1 battlefield looking setup, then I seriously doubt the interest of any hide for bird photography. Just dress like Rambo (guns included) and they'll come by flocks... Very interesting video otherwise, thank you...

Very nice. Can i ask what trigger and flash types you use from Godox? I am looking into buying 8 flashes and a trigger for my kingfisher spot but cant decide what to buy. Also using the sony A9ll.

please put some more vids on what an expert after 50 years old school i think like you never mind modern image hand held stabilisation get it on a tripod far better what ever shutter speed its common sense and like you say unless in a restricted area , please tell me a great and fair priced safari , ive been longing to go for years i dont want to go on a economy safari my budget thou would be a max of 5k i dont want luxury put a comfy bed and power points also last thing soz to mither i will be a solo traveller ,lots of trips cater for double , thankyou
