Tesla Highland Model 3 center console squeak fix
Tesla Highland Model 3 console lid squeak fix. Extremely easy. Should take no more than 10 minutes and $10 in Amazon parts.

Great video! I was able to stop the maddening "creaking" noise I've had in my Model3 Highland console armrest for the past 4 months. The earliest Tesla service appointment I could get was 5 weeks from now, so I'm thankful to have this behind me. Tip: I bought the tool needed at Harbor freight (Item# 64126) for under 10 bucks. The small pry bar worked perfectly. I opened the armrest, insulated as you suggested and closed it up in under 10 monutes. Many thanks!
@arizonagr8guy Thank you! Glad to assist with keeping your sanity. It was driving me nuts as well!
Thank you! Elon Musk must see this video🤣
@@artemutiupin7082 😂 If he only knew half the stuff that service centers do...
Thanks, same issue! I have a service appointment, but they pushed it back to Oct. and I’ve already got screen protector on the screens. I’ll try this and let you know if it works for me.
@sketchpro12 Nice! They ordered the entire console for me, but it's the same part# with the same issue. Do this, and you are good 👍
Just fixed mine! For me I found the main creaking came from that guide pin, so I loaded it up with felt and some rubber pads, I also added some thick felt in the center to keep it from squishing Dow in the center, now it’s solid , no creaks or squeaks! Thanks for the post! Going to let Tesla know I fixed it…. Now on to the crooked charge port😂
@sketchpro12 Haha! Glad it worked! I had the crooked charging port issue on my 2021. Drove me nuts!
Thanks man!! Where can we get the carbon fiber parts?
@SocraticBruin No worries! Hillsmade.com I believe they ship out of Florida.
Thank you! Exact same issue here. Service center "repaired" mine - it starting squeaking one week after. And of course "they never heard of this problem before". I'm gonna get a pry tool and get to it.
You're welcome! I don't understand why they are replacing entire consoles when they know the part number hasn't been updated 🤷♂️
@@Theguyintheplacewiththething It seems to me that Tesla service centers very much follow the script. There is little or no room for independent thought.
It worked! A few pieces of anti rattle tape do wonders. Also, it seems that the "repair" they did was adding some goo to the factory anti rattle tape. It was a mess.
@@kzil Nice! Enjoy!
Thank you! This helped fixed my issue.
@@stevenle8405 No worries! I got peer pressured by the TMC forums to upload it 😂
