Yes they are playable on a PS2, if it's an American PS2 and or not the slim version. Once my older brother's PS1 conked out, I played them on his PS2. However, I am not certain about PS3. I did not use a PS1 console, I used DuckStation emulator. Thanks for the comment and the subscription!

@@RockRepent Yes! That would allow access to other people who don't want to own a console and or can't afford it. I think a lot of these remasters should get ports so others can play them. I really remember the beginning arc of the game up until the forest temple and everything else I haven't really experienced a whole lot. Thank you for the well wishes on my enjoyment of the game. I am really looking forward to playing this and actually beating it for the first time of my life. This game has a lot of sentimental meaning for me because my mom bought it for me. Anyway, I want to get into Randomizers they sound like a lot of fun. Where could I go to find a good website for them? I'm still playing my PS1 games and it literally feels like I'm a kid again. I love PS1 games so much. I love older games than I do current stuff. Of course I'll play new games, but the old games are way better. Thanks for watching!

Thanks for sharing this story with me. I totally remember when Sears had a department in their stores filled with games. This gaming era was also the era I really got into gaming as a young kid. The PlayStation holds a special place in my heart. It'll always be one of my favorite consoles. I heard about how infuriating it could be. So I understand why you feel that way. For me, like I believe I said in this video. During my 2019 playthrough of this game. When I made it to this part I just happened to win probably from sheer luck. I never really put too much stock into the card game. As for the subject on platinum games. I personally don't care for going all out for trophies. However, I played this on my switch. While I also own it on original hardware and many other avenues.

That's interesting to hear. I guess I played this game more than the mainline games. I just always had some sort of affinity towards this game. Pokemon Stadium 2 however I rented a lot but never owned. I guess everyone has different experiences with games even though it's flipped around for some.

​@@TurnoftheDrewI still love the old school typewriter dialogue. I'm old AF cause I played this when it came out! I think I played on my original Nintendo. These were so damn cool cause they're were on your TV and that was crazy in the early 80s.

My hubby still has our old game cube with games and our PS2. Oh and the old Nintendo 64v with the 007 games. I played those so damn much! Good times.

I know I love all the older games so much. Every year new games are just becoming too realistic. I think gaming should go back to this style every once and a while. That's why I like the new Octopath Traveller games. They have that old SNES style.

I have my PS1 and my GameCube I wish older games were more affordable because there's a lot of gems I would love to have physical instead of digital.

Heyyyy, thanks for the tip! I did not know that about this boss. The first time I fought him years ago. I was over leveled and took him out. I'm fairly new to the second half of disc two and the three and four. I barely beat this game for the first time in 2019. Thanks for letting me know. I could always try and battle him again on my own time with an extra save I have.

I know! It's such a great scene. Vivi's entire story is so good. Glad I am almost half way through this game.

Interestingly, my experience was different. If I remember correctly, I used Leena until the battle with the sun face. I used Leena and Poshul and Serge. I never acquired Mojo so I don't know how he works. However, I eventually let kid join. When I play RPGS, I just like to give all the playable characters a turn in battle. In my first playthrough I let kid join. When I found out that I could never get Leena to join. I made a separate save and got her. I got stuck trying to fight Garai and I stopped playing since then. I didn't have a guide or used an online one. So it was my first time playing with no guidance. Anyway, sorry for the long response. However thank you for the comment and your perspective! It's interesting to see how others play a game and to hear their take.

While this one has 45 total party members I find less then 10 of them to be actually useful and both Leena and Mojo are not useful at all.

Yeah it does have a lot of party members which I didn't even know who was a party member or who wasn't. For me, since I have 20 years experience with mainly playing RPGs and playing the game in a certain way I guess I found Leena pretty useful. However, I will showcase Kid when I get her as well. I like to give the characters in the game a chance for a couple of battles. For instance, in FF9 my first time completing it was in 2019 like five minutes before the new year rang to 2020. I used Freya, Vivi and Garnet alongside Zidane. I have played FF9 for as long as it's been out. Never completed it. I played as all the characters, however I based my final choice on who was affected the most throughout the story. Anyway, I just found Leena for myself to be adequate but of course I did stop using her after a while. Not that I found her to be inept. Just that I developed a fondness and appreciation for other characters. I used Poshul a lot because she is goated.

@@doriansz3130 Yeah I know about that mod. My computer isn't able to record the game with the mod installed. Either way it'll look the same regardless if it was on PC. I also don't know how to hack my Switch. Thanks for the suggestion though.

I know! It's something special that was crafted. I played the demo on my Switch. I honestly enjoyed what I played. Have not had so much fun with a JRPG since FF9. I've played fun JRPGs and still am playing a few currently. However, this game is just as good as the OGs.
