Hey friends, our original plan was to catch the helicopter from Tawang, which would have taken just an hour to reach Guwahati. We left our cozy homestay early in the morning, full of excitement. However, after waiting for hours at the heliport, we received the disappointing news that the helicopter service was cancelled for the day due to a technical fault.
With no other options to leave Tawang that day, we had to extend our stay by another night. The next morning, we boarded a sumo taxi and embarked on an epic 14-hour journey through the beautiful landscapes of Arunachal Pradesh and Assam. It was a long, tiring, but incredibly scenic drive that brought us finally to Guwahati.
