@@eelkiller4379 He has some heavy parallels with Hokma though, if you look at their traits in games. Both collected, mostly calm, had their fair share of being pushed around by others and unintersted in others (Meursault has been abused by N Corp and is uninterested about most things, like wealth, fixers, etc. Only really cares about doing his job and protecting other Sinners) (Hokma has been put in a cycle of suffering. His case is better than N Corp because Ayin was actually trying to save humanity, plus Hokma volunteered to suffer for him. Hokma's primary interest throughout his life was Ayin, everything else was bleak, tho in Ruina he gets along with other Librarians and Angela.) We can also add the fact that both can give pretty heavy and informative speeches and are very knowledgeable (Meursault is hesitant on that front because he was often told that his opinion doesn't matter and he shouls just follow orders). There's also an aspect of great humanity to both of them - even though they can discard lives of others as it's not their business or becauss they are expendable (L Corp Hokma doesn't care much about employee death) they still grieve and wish to minimize the damage they do to their allies or the innocent. It's not like Limbus Meursault can't grow past his book version, and if he does, and would be only logical for him to become much like Hokma.

​@@Horace-The-Hushed I agree with you on them having parallels however I think some of your conclusions on his character is reaching. The Meursault in game shows very little bad will with N corp other then the trial which he describes in the promo. He says that he worked with or in N corp but didn't agree with the ideology. He most likely only took the aspect of waiting for orders from his time during the trial as in the book he does express a lack of agency which lead into the Sun line. However I do agree that Meursault fits Hokma the most as Religion in the Project Moon setting is defined by the belief in something (Ahab believes in the evil of the white whale and her crew believes in her). In the book The Stranger Meursault believes they're is no god and that what happens happens which leads to him not saying he regrets killing the Arab because it would serve no point. Book Meursault is also written in a way were he shows care those he does care about without thinking and disregards others if told so. The problem with all of this is that without know if who Meursault was before the trial is all just speculation on what he believes. In the book the only change is that he accepts his death and looks forward to everyone's eyes being on him saying he now understands his mother felt near her death. The character and book can be interpreted a ton of ways so its you know hard to tell how project moon will go with his character.

@@eelkiller4379 Thanks for the answer, about the N Corp... his N Corp ID shows clearly that his disagreement with their ideas can lead to guilt and religious crisis, so he very much *could* be abused by N Corp in his base timeline (LCB ID), just to a lesser extent. My interpretation of both book and game Meursault is him being a Stranger (don't laugh here) that ever so slowly learns to understand others, society as a whole, and himself. He is feeling incredibly weak (lack of agency and purpose because the world doesn't care) (can hardly sympathize with others and understand their feelings) even though he has some strong character traits (disregarding not just people, but the whole crowd that blames him or tells him to cry at his mother's funeral for example, that takes some great willpower, he's not just oblivious imo). Limbus comes in clutch here for me because Meursault is definitely smart and has a capacity to see things as they are (Not Hokma's Wisdom or Intuition but close enough) and he tends to be verbose with his factual speech (Hokma calls himself verbose at times). So, like, in the same way that Meursault thinks he can't understand people (which he can learn to) or the idea that God exists and thus takes up an opposing belief that there is no God (and no meaning - absurdism) he can think that he can't make any moral judgement (that's his "defining trait" in Limbus) which he absolutely can and wants to do. Some of this may be wishful thinking but Meursault being a morally good character and a parallel to Hokma (Who is prone to be hard on himself just like Meursault is prone to underestimate his abilities as shown above) would be actually PEAK

The biggest distraction is Meursault tbh. I love that man
