I found your channel today by accident and I had to stop at 14:12 to say I got chills at this point. Just last night I was putting my hands on my decks, trying to decide which to work with in February, and when I touched my boxes of The Fat Folks Tarot (representative of size, gender, ability, color, and more) I knew that was the one that would let me channel my energy from doom scrolling to “balancing” US social climate. Thankful that I found this video and your channel.

I *never* reach for my Light Seer's. It's diverse in other ways, but you're right - it is very gendered (in a cis-hetero-patriarchal way). Maybe that's why I don't use it. But... I love its suit of swords. I guess I keep it to look at those. 🤔 Thanks for the thought-provoking video!

Of course the the number of creators and decks is rising from year to year for which I am very grateful for. I began to think that it's just my weird opinion, that I want diversity and a more inclusive and modern language... Really enjoyed you talking about your values 😊

I have the This Might Hurt Tarot because I wanted to learn the RWS framework and imagery, but didn't want to work with an actual RWS. Maybe that's why I don't mind the gendered royalty so much in this deck - though maybe also because the King of Wands is a female-presenting person. I *love* the Fifth Spirit Tarot, which has the tag-line "Tarot beyond binaries." It uses the classical terms (page, knight, queen, king, empress, emperor), but "expands notions of gender though the juxtaposition of traditional titles and queered imagery." It is also diverse in terms of race, body type, and ability. The creator's book, Radical Tarot, is excellent for thinking about DEI, as is 78 Acts of Liberation, by Lane Smith.

I think it is hard to span the bridge of respecting the structure and history of tarot and respecting modern sensibilities. I respect when historically gendered cards are renamed but the renaming often causes me to have to do mental gymnastics. I love Witches' Wisdom, but like many I had to renumber the major arcana. I just could not work with it all reordered. I appreciate you discussing this topic.

One of the tricks for using up stickers that i've been using is to give myself a sticker in my Hero's Journal for everyday i complete all my tasks. It would probably work with the planner as well :3

Love this game. Looked up if other people have thought of using the cards for cartomancy and I'm not surprised a few have.You should definitely try playing the game though, definitely a lot of fun and is a staple for me and my friends.

Definitely a deck that is clear for reading is easier sometimes. 7 of wands was reversed to, i was wondering if you feel like you are muffled or speaking into a void. 8 of wands felt a little more like on the move, doing it, lots to share with passionate ideas. I think the spirit keepers would’ve been really ambitious and I’m not gonna lie., I want to see some more spreads with that deck. I’ve done a couple for myself, but I still find it very intimidating to use lol even though it is an awesome tarot deck. You gave some great advice for some real issues in every day life. I absolutely enjoyed listening to your thoughts and interpretations of your cards. The Light Seers is definitely one of my favorite decks. Thank you for this video. I'm new to tarot and picked up this deck. I was drawn to its folk-arty and, as you said, "primitive" vibe that feels less polished. It seems like the majority of people are down on this deck in favor of more polished ones, but I think in its primitivism lies its very appeal.

This is also my favorite deck from the Fall 2024 Hay House Card Deck Club Subscription box. Maude did say doing a 44 day journey in order of the card numbers would help to build a personal understanding of the process. I am throughly enjoying the deck, and find the messages insightful. My own un-boxing video, on my channel, proved to me the powerful connection the artwork has for bringing out intuitive guidance. It is certainly an immersive deck that keeps bringing me profound wisdom answers to my questions. I like your color-coding concept, thanks for demonstrating your process.
