has anyone tried to paint it instead of dye? maybe like thin layer of spray paint, and do matt clear coat over that? i ordered vision fg in damascus and ivory scales, i want to change the scale color i have done paint + clear coat on my plastic phone case and it held up good so just wondering about doing g10 like that

I own a Makro 2 with the same style sheath. In my opinion, it lacks a rivet up top, where you pull the knife out. Within a few days I cut an inch worth of stitching where the edge of rhe blade comes out.

My pivot is stripped out and I can’t find a replacement anywhere does anyone have any suggestions?

Does anyone sell custom sheaths for these knives? I love mine and it carries well in pocket but I'd rather have a dangler type sheath that hangs off my belt. I've just never been a fan of Mkm's sheaths.

Wish there was more content like this. I worked with a few guys in their mid 20s who spent their whole check on cars or paying off payments on knives and what not. I know everyone has their own perspective on life and finances but debt for toy's is never smart. Guys in their late 20s living with parents not paying rent spending money on toys instead of saving for a home or asset which can generate income. These companies are waiting for a sucker to fall for the scheme and stay in the vicious cycle.

Thinking of buying Civivi to do the exact same. How is it holding up 6 month later? Does it scratch easily?

Glad to see im not the only one with a semi crooked civivi logo. I feel like 99% of people wouldnt notice this or care. Idk why but i always been worried about that little lip on the scale that holds the pivot in place eventually wearing out & become impossible to tighten 😭😭

I also saw on a TH-cam short some one did to tweak the sheath, they used some sandpaper to rough up the leather around to magnets to create a lil extra grip.. check it out, definitely something I might do when mine is in

I think the Red Micarta handled ones are the Knife Center exclusives.. was very close to getting on of them, but they were still on back order n picked up an olive wood nesmuck one instead.. can’t wait to get my hands on it and it will also be my second fixed blade haha

Push off the the sheath with your thumb. Also mkm tend to heat treat their stuff on the softer side so just a heads up there

CBRx roughed up the leather where the magnets are and it helped him pulling out the knife without moving the sheath along as well.

Isn’t the pivot on this a T10? Not a T8?

Not taking in to mind your legs/muscles inside your pants putting pressure on the sheath. Unless you’re skinny to an alarming degree. Your legs will push outward on the pants/pockets. Not just a loose pocket

If it makes you feel any better, mine broke in quickly and I can pull out the knife fast or slow and sheath stays in the pocket. My only criticisms are the blade cuts into the sheath pretty easily (I have the nessmuk) so now I have little black leather pieces on the blade when I pull it out, also my handle (olive wood) is a little slippery when pulling out of the sheath and Ive almost dropped it while adjusting grip. I added a small lanyard which helps. Overall I love it though, just started getting into pocket fixed blades

I made my own sheathe for mine and I found out the magnet magnetized my knife. The knife itself is excellent and has become my favorite fixed blade. I also dyed my micarta and it came out really nice.

Once you break the sheath in, it will come out smoothly with no issues. I had this issue for about a week.

I have the same exact knife and the sheath is leather and it will break in and loosen up a bit. The magnet is very strong so that's part of it all you have to do is slightly push off with your finger and the knife will come right out with no problem. A lanyard will help which I have on mine.

What a fun little fixie! I haven't had a fixed blade convert me yet, but it's still fun to dabble!

Those American Eagle jeans are great, good fit, enough stretch to be comfy but still look like jeans. I carry similar but the only thing in my 5th pocket is typically a mini bugout, it’s perfect for 5th pocket with how thin and light it is. I also got a tactile turn bolt action in the short size along with my wallet combined with a small notepad-binder. Then I keep a Rovyvon A8 on my keys, most of the time I use my phone flashlight but if I need more throw then the Rovyvon does the job. Keep up the content!

My Levi's 5th pocket carry: Victorinox Manager Victorinox Nail clippers Olight 1R-2 Can't really see it, and it works pretty well for me. 😝 (Also, I deleted my wallet. My phone case carries what I need.)

I'm a sucker for purple scales too. So far I've got a PM2, a Manix 2, and a Sheepdog in purple. Crazy thing is orange is my favorite color and I only have 1 (a Victorinox Classic SD, at that).

excellent and thorough review. i’ve been looking at this brand for the past couple of years, but i saw the sling plus was a larger version and i had to pull the trigger. having the bigger bag is perfect for me and my needs. the original sling would’ve driven me nuts

I love that version, still hoping for the large on in a Wharney version. I’d love a premium S90V full contoured titanium models like they did the small versions.

I bought the first Knife Center exclusive. Its Ti and black micarta for $72. Its great. After that I bought the Alt version green micarta black blade for $27 on Amazon after a big discount and a coupon code. I like the Alt even more!

I have some friends with variations of the Pyrite and Mini Pyrite and this version looks leagues better! Loooove that micarta over the SS handles. I'd love to check out one of those more premium versions one day, just that there are too many knives out there.
