Unfortuently it shows how much Hugo gets removed from the project after launch. Doom eternal has had multiple speed running exploits removed, directly targeted as they these exploits have no normal use in game and cause no issues, except for something speedrunners use. Big example was putting walls all over the giant sword in Doom Eternal main game. These invisible walls actually take away from the game because it makes zero sense why you are hitting a wall when walking on it and you can only go thru the specific path on it instead of jumping from the side. It is so clunky now. Eternal does not have better gameplay. The sounds, maybe for everything but the soundtrack, listening to the same single song but cut into sections and looped is grating on the ears and mind. 2016 was masterful, Eternal really fell off in my opinion because you didn't feel like you were getting stronger. The further you got the harder the enemies got, eventually just the more bigger enemies there were, but none of the upgrades you got made you feel stronger, just made you feel like you could last slightly longer.
