Affies 1st Team Tries 1996 - Rated Best Schools Rugby Team in South Africa 1996
Rated as the best team in Affies history. Played 28 games, won 26, drawn 1, and only lost to Gisborn College from New Zealand in a tight match that could have gone either way. Undefeated in South Africa, scored 976 points in 28 games and only 163 points against beating the likes of Grey College (25-3), Maritzburg College, Waterkloof, HTS Middelburg, Rondebosch Boys High, Selbourne College, Bishops..........

I was in St6 (Gr8) that year, such a powerhouse team and a joy to watch. You (Gena) and Nicolaas Alberts were absolute try-scoring machines!
