The studio looks amazing! Good job! I really enjoyed getting a peek at Twinkie. I couldn’t believe how much creosote builds up in the stove pipe! I received your letter today which reminded me to check your channel as I didn’t get the usual YT notification. Canada Post has been threatening to go on strike for weeks and finally served a strike notice. I wanted to let you know as a strike would obviously impact Xmas mail deliveries. I hope you are well!
I appreciate the compliment! Good to get a heads-up so I wouldn't wonder about the Post. I've had a cold/flu and just can't shake the lingering cough. I should get more rest but I also want to keep up momentum on the studio. I hope you're doing better than I am?
@ Canada Post went on strike as of midnight last night. They announced that there will be no mail delivery and any mail currently in the system will stay stuck there. I am thankful I received your letter before the strike! I wrote a reply but will hang on to it until the strike is over. I have been busy with a return to working life and some behind the scenes personal dramas. I hope you are on the mend. Take good care of yourself!
I have studio envy! Nice spot
Your flowers are so pretty 💛
Thank you and thanks for watching. They are all gone now but the good thing is...I have next year's garden to plan and look forward to.
I have the Kingart Gel Stick set and I love it! As you mentioned, there are so many wonderful colors which I use to create backgrounds on coloring pages. Thank you so much for giving this wonderful product a shout out! ❤
Sorry for the late reply- I've been under the weather. I do like to show creatives things they may find fun and may not otherwise know about. Thanks for the comment!
@@colorcapacity2779 I hope you are feeling better! Take good care and never forget to pamper yourself!
5 minutes, and you still haven't shown us the inside of the book. I'm done. Fuck you for talking too much shit.
Who me ??? Too manyart supplies that I haven't tried yet? But I just have to have more!!!😅
Just trying to figure what to do with my socks so I can fit more art supplies in the drawer...
Very enjoyable video! I look forward to watching snippets of your adventures outside of art. The classic car show must have been so interesting. I hope you are well!
I love these! I have 3 - one for watercolors, one for ink & gouache, and one for colored pencils. I refer to them all the time!
Do you mean separate for acrylic inks or fountain pen inks? I never thought of using this to swatch fountain pen inks... great idea!
@@colorcapacity2779 - i don’t have that many inks! I use this one for copic markers, ink pens, and bottle ink swatches. More to remind me of what I have than color testing!
Hello Serena, I thoroughly enjoyed the footage of your flower and vegetable garden! Your apple trees are amazing! I thought the colour composition of your watercolour was so lovely, peaceful and serene. Stay well!
Your flowers are beautiful but I tuned in to see the sketch book issue
If I have "extra" footage, I try to include a timestamp so viewers can skip ahead. I hope you were able to locate the part you were interested in?
I don't mind your strange planet... As a matter of fact, I'm kind of tired of this overcrowded one. (When is the next shuttle leaving for that planet?)... Oh, I like what you've done here. Khadi paper is a bit inconsistent, but I love the thinner sheets. Thanks for sharing your art (and the songs of your neighborhood birds)!
Your studio build looks amazing! I can’t wait to see what you do with your new mixed media journal.
It’s what unclassy trained artist do when they give up their scrapbooking materials and want to pick up crafts and think this is what they can do with paints. Just paint a fucking picture.
Beautiful garden! ❤ I don’t think I’ve ever seen a firefly before!
Thank You Cindy. This is why I post little bits of my life because not everyone is able to get outside or has the same things where they are. I often enjoy little things that people post like walking in rainstorms or their local shops because I don't have the same terrain or stores in my area. Glad you enjoyed!
I love these!
My 3 travel brushes are Articas size 2 and 6, and Escoda Optimo/Ultimo/? Size 12 (fake squirrel wash brush).
A nice choice of sizes- just enough to cover everything without being cumbersome in the field.
The Articas are Escoda Perlas made for Jackson's by Escoda. They are awesome for detail work, but they don't hold enough water for washes and stuff. I recently ordered a bunch of the smaller Articas (5-0, 4-0, 3-0, 2-0, and 0) for my fussy detail work. Still looking for good brushes for juicy washes and wet-on-wet stuff...
Thank you. I have a couple of Danny’s books. I will look into this one now.
Glad you enjoyed. Sometimes I find that if you get just one good tip from a book or video, it was worth it. His book has so many.
Loved the clips of Mr and Mrs Goose and the little goslings, the gorgeous pond and forest as well as the amazing vintage Buick! I hope you are well!
I love this book. One thing I did towards the was swatch out all my similar colors together, so that I can really compare the differences, such as swatching all my sap greens from different vendors. I just finished swatching out all my yellows and now I can really see the cool vs. warm yellows.
Love the idea. And looks like quality paper.
Great haul. I am sympathetic to the rain situation. The rain is obstructing the construction of my new bushcraft shelter as a homeless whistle-blower in Vermont winters. Rained all summer, all winter, now all spring. The flooding in the valley created a national disaster so FEMA was called in 😢
Where did you find the FA paper at that great price?
Hi Sylvia- This was 2 years ago but I see currently Jerrys Artarama has a deal for 15 sheets for $62.13 which works out to about $4.14 a sheet. No affiliation but I shop from them online and have never had an issue. Hope this helps and thanks for watching.
This is genius ! Thank you for sharing it ❤
So much fun following along with your creative process! I hope you are doing well!
TY- Juggling too many things at once but I'm trying. Hope you can partake of the eclipse tomorrow!
I guess I'm a collector.i have 3 of the 6-8 size. 2 are full,one is getting full.I think the black page or 2 is a great idea.
They also have a 6x8 they call a travel diary.Exactly the same but smaller.
How many times do we duplicate a color we already have? A travel size would solve that problem.
FYI: I took some of the sections and used a ruler and waterproof pen to cut the boxes in half so I could fit more information on a page at a time. I love this and will purchase another as needed. My book is mixed media and I’ve swatched watercolor, gouache, watercolor pencils, water activated oil pastels, and Charvin pastel sticks as well. It’s held up to all and the clear buffer between us super nice.
Dividing the boxes is a great idea. I love having all my colors in one convenient place.
Thank you SO MUCH for showing this book. I can't afford to spend money lightly, and so many art books on Amazon have only a few pages shown. I love Terry Runyan, and this book is awesome!
I think we've all made some purchasing mistakes. I think Amazon made a bad decision taking off their "look closer" feature for books. If I can't see the table of contents and a few pages, I'm also afraid to take a chance. Thanks for your comments!
I would have liked it if you had shown how it opens up especially with the fold that flips up/down. Thank you for the demonstration.
Too bad I missed that point. I'm sure you aren't the only viewer who wanted to see how it opens and it IS a bit tricky but it really only opens and folds one way, so you wouldn't get too lost when using it or looking back over it later. The nice thing is you eventually do use both sides of each section of paper and that's what makes it so economical.
The blood pressure thing is such a pain in the posterior! I’m in chronic pain which also raises the blood pressure and have been fighting it for years. Big hugs! I’ve been painting with Daniel Smith for years and, even though they are expensive, they last forever! The set you got contains my staples minus the Pyrrol Scarlet. The Quin Rose is so versatile, it is my go to “red”. Also, do yourself a favor and mix up the Quin Rose with some Ultramarine. You will get a beautiful purple! Finally, I’m a recent convert to New Gamboge. It is such a magical color!
Glad for your support, and welcome. It helps to remember we are not the only ones struggling with health issues. Thanks for the suggestion on the purple. I haven't done with mixing yet so I'll try it! -something to look forward to!
Great review! What a fabulous book! Can't wait til it gets here. Thanks for sharing this. 🌻
Hope you have as much fun with it as I do! The colors are fantastic!
Its a part of life us have these changes as we sge. I am 62 ,I retired at 60 and am constantly changing my diet and increasing my activity to accommodate physical changes. 🙏 That you will adjust and it will be smooth sailing!
Thank You for your comments.- sounds like you have a positive attitude by making adjustments that are within your power. Helpful to think of it that way.
Just found this review! Thanks so much!! ❤❤❤
I'm still getting inspiration from it. I love the color combinations you choose.
Thank you! ❤

Looking forward to seeing your new studio!
Nice, wise and funny haul!❤️
Glad you like it and welcome! I've been taking a break from filming videos for a bit but hope to get back into doing more in 2024. In the mean time I hope you enjoy some of my past videos.
Stained glass like, very good explanation, pleasant voice. So beautiful and you made the process seem easy ❤
Glad you enjoyed the process. You can do it too and you don't need many supplies.
Well done! Paintings are lovely!
Thank You. Glad you enjoyed!
Oooh, Icahn see me getting one of these books. 😊
Very cool! Thanks for this tip!
Greate video thanks❤
Them swatches on the back of your sketch book look printed they are at a next level neat!! The swatches look soon pretty 😍😍
Thanks, but the truth is, I measured and taped the lines. Then when I finished swatching, I removed the tape for a crisp edge. You can do it too! The gradiant showing light to dark takes practice but you can do that as well. Thanks for watching!
I have 2 and I absolutely love them. One is for particular brands and the other is for color comparisons and mixes
That's an interesting idea. That way when you order paints or go to the art supply store you can have your brand book handy so you don't duplicate what you already have or forget which one you're running low on.
Wow! You’re amazing!
I am thrilled to follow you building your own studio! Just wow. And the art hauls are fun, too. Thank you!
My pleasure K, I hope once the studio is finished I can USE some of these fun supplies! Thanks for watching!
What an amazing job you’ve done!! I hope the hardest part is over!
Thank You Sueallen but unfortunately as the commercial says: But wait... there's more.... I'm in a panic to get the stove installed while there's still time for caulking to cure but I still have a bit to do BRFORE I can install the stove. Nail biting time. Stay tuned...
I am in awe how far you have got with your studio, such good work! ❤❤❤
Thank You for all your support Johanna and for following along!
I too, would love a book of black sheets!!!!
This looks very useful. Thank you!
Glad you liked the video. Thanks for watching and commenting.
