I never owned anything with a 351W, but drove a number of Crown Victorias and E350s with that motor, VV, carb and EFI. The EFI motors were in late 80s vans and had fairly respectable power even when carrying a load. But the most impressive was a 351HO with four barrel in a clapped out 1985 model E350. After the first time I stepped on the gas, I thought I was driving a 460. Popped the dog house off later and saw the air cleaner with “351 4V HO.” I’ve sort of had my eye out for an affordable 1985 F150 or Bronco with the HO that was worth taking home ever since. Just haven’t found one meeting those criteria, at least when I had extra change.
That's a fairly mild bumpstick for 300 inches according to the titled specs. Sounds, too, like a pump gas compression ratio. What's the lobe separation angle of this camshaft?

Better go lower in gearing; think 3.73s.
A tutorial for wiring in the fan controller to that taurus fan would be extremely helpful.
Headers do fit a 300 in vans. I thinks its headmans in my '78. Mine is 3 on the tree so maybe vans with automatic transmission have fitment issues?
I have done extensive mods to one of these dual port manifolds and it works quite well. I modded it to take fuel injectors, cut back the dividers at the ports, milled out the plenum to the level of the upper plenum and put a set of throttle blades between the upper and lower plenums. Do you have a email or other means that I can send you a picture?
Bolt on a properly calibrated mechanical or electronic Qjet matched to your vehicle, a 14057053 aluminum intake, and a pair of shorty headers, and you are good for at least 260 hp /300 FP torque without cracking the engine open.
Ford 351 Windsor. Historically an underrated engine. Ford made them available in a variety of production vehicles for nearly thirty years for a reason...

D shaped ports are truck engines, Round is for cars. That is a reverse rotation water pump, it will not work with v belts.

You shouldve put 351 cleveland 2 barrel heads on it. They have large beautiful ports. Use to do it all the time back before there were aluminum heads and performace heads.

@@johnwilburn the 4.9 efi is low mile and fairly healthy. Probably still makes it's advertised 145hp and 260ftlbs at the crank before accessories. The 351 conservatively should make around 350hp at the crank before accessories and 400ftlbs. And I have a new C6 to replace the old C6 that's been rebuilt with good parts and a transgo valve body kit, and it has the performance governor in it for 5000rpm wide open throttle shifts. Id hope to be able to cut 2 full seconds off at least. With a gear change maybe more.

That 650 DP should work very well with your combination of parts. If you were putting it in a lightweight Mustang, I would say a 750 DP would be slightly better.
@@sbcperformance413 Yeah I went with a 650 to aid in Venturi velocity and booster signal in this heavy vehicle for response and a little extra snap out of the hole. In a mustang id absolutely have a 750 on it.
