Those cuts on the turntables are fucking awesome!!! Real 80s vibe!!
I was there for evening show. F**king A1 I was 18....
A great year!
Merci juste merci 🇧🇪🙏
Wow!!!! RIP Whiz Kid!! He was doing a very advanced style and was transforming the horn hit at around the 8 minute mark!!! And Turntable drumming at the 9 minute mark!!
So musical with it too, what I love about Whiz was he was out to enhance not just impress, I love how he sometimes dropped on the 2 or the 3 or even the 3 and a half (as he does at that 9 min mark you mentioned after the drum cut, ) instead of just the basic on the 1, as you say very advanced for its time but mad natural with it, at times his drops takes you by surprise but so pleasingly on beat, this was a classic tape me/the crew had from back then, one I always made sure was safe wherever I moved through the years, thanks for passing thru
Remember listening to this in 86 just awesome still now it makes my hairs stand on end
I remember going to the way, and Barry k sharp would dj, those were the days
If you can catch any beat that’s not on the “1”, you’re a dope DJ

Hello, what's the name of the song that starts at 1:57?
Ramell - The beat plays on
I "bri millea " was there age 14,second show. Wembley arena, making my way in the world.🕺
😂🤣😂 nice clip
So sad Mike died in obscurity..
Those who know know, ok so initially he didn't want to do a rap show (not knowing its growing influence) but he soon realised what he'd been gifted and claimed it BIG, when you talk about UK Hip Hop roots you have to mention Mike Allen
@@oldskoolfool141 - I remember as a teen listening religiously every Fri Sat & Sun night. Unfortunately once Electro died out & became saturated with agro gansta rap + Westwood. I had tuned out by 89-90. Mike was a legend and pioneer.
Ta more please gr8
Did Somebody has this track th-cam.com/video/zaIk4z5GzOo/w-d-xo.html please i need it .Thanks!
Funny 👍🤣

The simplistic turntablism is still the best to this day.

Awesome thx!
How many of these artist would otherwise perform in the UK in that period? was this show unique?
Run DMC, LL Cool J, Beastie Boys did the Raising Hell Tour in 86, but a collection of Hip Hop acts like this was pretty unique as I recall.
Awesome had it on tape once lost years ago or broke probably thanks for the upload not heard for 30 plus years the man is timeless cuts the best
95.8 fm home of hip hop
DJ Whiz Kid The Assassin (R.I.P.) & The Scratch Icon Grand Wizzard Theodore...can't get NO BETTER than this!!!

Yeah nice upload and visage pleasure boys
If this was in the dance tent we were on stage with them breaking... Born to Rock, Second to None and Awayz Rockin Tuff
Nope, Jazz Stage
How Good and exciting was the Hip Hop in that time... now sadly is not the same : Corporative crap promoting Pimpin', Gunz, Chase the $$, minimalistic no syncopated and Dark beats.
100% it's all no talent mumble rap these days. Utter negative garbage. We had unity back then.
