Thank you so much for the 14mm wrench tip. Between that and the PB Blaster I was able to unstuck the piston on a 1984 MAXI Sport that hasn't run in over 20 years.

I would definitely reinforce that upper shock mount tube you welded to the upper frame member. Maybe something like you did with the seat mounts. That shock mount tube will definitely try to bend and twist, and eventually break the weld loose.

Puch/Kromag. Very similar to my 1979 Sears Free Spirit Deluxe. Mine is the 2.0 hp 30 mph model, Bing #68 jet, 15 x 45T sprockets. Has the Puch snowflake cast wheels. I found it at an estate sale. It was complete, still has the plastic sidecovers, with under 1000 miles on it. The frame and tank are exactly the same, except the rear part of the frame. Mine has a longer seat, and a tiny little bolt on luggage rack. Since the center stand was broken, I hope the bottom engine case is ok. The center stand bolts onto the lower case, and I've seen them broken from people standing or sitting on them while they are on the center stand. The stand was not meant to support the weight of the rider. Nice to see someone willing to go to the time and effort to get something like this back in running condition.

Could you help me out with the wiring, about to attempt to wire mine up that the wiring is messed up on and would like to make a new harness? Got any wiring map on what you did?

pro tip on cleaning the gas tank!. let it sit with vinegar and baking soda for 1 week constantly shaking it. then go to harbor freight grab some evapOrust they sell it in 1 gallon containers 29$ the puch tank is .8 gal so perfect fill it all the way up let it sit for 3-4 days . drain the evaporust when your cleaning the tank out after flip the puch upside down and spray from the petcock mount you have no idea how many big chunks of rust will come flying out and likely sludge . after you clean out the evaporust grab some kbs gold standard tank sealer off amazon 25$ and reseal the tank with a new liner ( look up instructions for this) all of this should be around 55$ and you will have a nice clean tank with any potential pin hole leaks /seam leaks all sealed up

i literally just was given a ls-2 i got as a extra free bike in a trade for some dirtbikes that the guy just wanted to clear up space ..thats all together needs bbk and tank cleaned but other that shes complete . i thought it was just a throw-away type scooter until i started doing some research i now know the guy had ZERO idea of what he actually had . seems they are pretty collectible and have a large following of builders and groups worth some good $ running

I have to ask. Where do you come up with all these classic mopeds? I’ve searched my area and nothing.

I grew up with these old mopeds. I love them and wish they still made them. I found a 4 stroke version on Ali. The shipping is almost more than the moped.

I wish they still made these. They had a styling that isn’t duplicated today. As opposed to the cheap bicycle kits that aren’t as sturdy or durable.

I was watching a different video on how to time the engine, would you be interested in making a detailed video on how to time it? I’m kinda confused on how it’s done and I’d like to know a little more about it.

Oof, the LS2 is so cool too. That bike originally had the ZA50 on it (the coil is the giveaway). Someone also swapped out the 5-stars for the snowflakes, and then also took the super rare seat. I'm pretty sure the bend in the chrome on the left side of the bike is OEM, I have the same LS2 and mine has the same bend (I believe to fit the side cover).

A very cool build! The backbone frame design with the cafe bars really change the attitude of the bike. The open end of the spine would be perfect for inserting modular accessories, a storage box, panniers, maybe a pillion seat! Keep doing what you do 👍‼️
