The drums for this one are a default "latin" groove on a shitty old Portasound synth. The output on it is really noisy as you can tell. This one is now arbitrarily titled "The Golden Age of Making Things Worse."

Find the rest of my things here: linktr.ee/Sononymous This one is doing some fun things with a 9/4 time sig, dotted 32nd note hi-hats, and using an EQ to create free pitch movements out of a spoken word sample. Plus some 19ed2 guitar and blah blah. We'll call this one "Bee Bombs." #microtonal #music #avantgarde #composer #electronicmusic #jazz #industrial #experimental

Short song for experimental gremlins

Find the rest of my things here: linktr.ee/Sononymous I've been teaching myself to be less perfectionist by forcing myself to do a few short songs (absolutely must be under 2 minutes) with minimal mixing and mastering. The videos likewise won't be incredibly high quality in terms of resolution, as the point of this exercise is to embrace flaws and imbue them with intentionality. That's not to s...

A mortifying ordeal. A collapse of sense in the world. An inevitable tragedy. The pizza is ruined. Three tunings in this one, but they don't really matter. I just wanted to make a quick little something off of the guitar chord progression. #guitar #avantgarde #music #microtonal #pizza

Why does this song feel like its 20 min long?
because it would take 20 one-min tiktoks to break down the microrhythms at play
@@drosophiliac Actually, listening to it a second time i feel like i get it now. I feel enlightenment.
character development you love to see it
Well, I can't not click on a title like this...
When you think about it, a non Euclidean space allows for some pretty cool marketing techniques! I think that frog picked the right spot! Jokes aside, very dope music, I like the little clatter, I'm not sure of that's the right word, but it creates a very interesting vibe!
Little clatter is as good a description as any other :)
@Sononymous I thought, maybe rattle, but, in the end, it's more of a clatter...

nice song nice visuals
Gorgeous composition, super underrated! Hope I'll be able to compose something this effectively atmospheric and almost sinister one day. Incredible!!!
Thank you :) The secret is spend many years being bad at it until you're sometimes sort of good at it

oh my gee wilikers!
The energy in that is crazy! I love the drums! Usually in the microtonal stuff, it's really calm and ambient, but here it's jazz, but microtonal, and I'm all here for it!
They said it wasn't possible, but we'll show them. In seriousness, part of why I wanted to get into microtonality was to expand the harmonic options for a jazz/jazz adjacent context. I was surprised it wasn't more common since it seemed so obvious to me.
idk what this is but i absolutely love it
This is awesome is it on streaming plataforms?
@@trambulhao3513 Not currently. When I'm done doing my run of little mini songs I might stitch them together into a mini mixtape of some kind and put it on bandcamp, though.

very strange effect that micro rhythm! sounds natural, i mean, "danceable". great track hey, sounds really unique
Thank you! I like to mix simple things with complex things so that way anyone can enjoy. In this case, the relatively complex cymbal pattern with the simple kick pattern. Makes it easy to follow, but with hidden depth if you listen for it I hope.

Where'd you get that guitar?
Jason Rodgers over at Jayemar Guitars. Not sure why my reply didn't post the first time, sorry about that.
@@Sononymous Thanks for the response, looks like a lovely instrument. Impossibly expensive to me especially considering customs and VAT here in the old continent, I wonder if anyone makes instruments like that within the EU.
@@nuodso There has to be someone, but I wouldn't be the person to ask. Good luck on your search
what do you think would be better to get or would be more fun to play (if they made that kinda guitar and both were the same price), a microtonal fm guitar or a microtonal keyboard?
I'm not even sure how a microtonal fm guitar would work. If it's basically an fm synth with a fretboard then it would depend on what layout it uses. I think a guitar would be more fun for me (probably obvious), but a keyboard would be more practical for most people. Keyboards have always gotten better support in the MIDI realm so they just have that edge in utility.
@@Sononymous a digital fretboard, no strings? that might be cool then you could have a cello button. i was talking about the guitars if you search on youtube fm guitars.
@@signalshiz Ah, I've seen those before. I've never been super into the Stanley Jordan style of playing myself so I probably wouldn't go for that personally. You could do some cool things if one was fretless and the other was some 17 or above equal division, though.
WOW this is Really Good! Loved every moment, even in the depths of the piece's darkness, the disharmony, the seismic motion of the oceanic turbulences, and then it rose again to Heaven, always with the deep reverberations of harmony. Lovely. Thank you so much!
