This summer a team of 6 strong Lithuanians set out to explore the far region of Tian Shan mountains called Ak-Shirak. During 3 weeks of backpacking with 30+ kg backpacks we never went lower that 3600m, and our highest summit was a first ascent that we named Baltic way - 4910m. Overall during this time we walked 130 horizontal and 7 vertical kilometres, climbed 8 mountain passes and 6 summits, out of which 5 summits and 5 passes were first ascents, giving us the pleasure of naming them.
This was my hardest trip I have ever completed facing a lot of unforseen dificulties, thus I am very thankful to our leader Laurynas Marcinkus to have taken me onboard, and helped me all the way. Also a really huge thanks to other group members - Girvydas Kulakauskas, Dominykas Mazur, Simonas Krencius. All of you guys were amazing and one couldn't ask for a better companionship on such an adventure. I will always remember this amazing experience and can't wait to go on another one.
