We are a reformed and confessional Presbyterian congregation committed to worshipping the Triune Lord and laboring to further His kingdom, glory, and power so that the knowledge of God might cover the whole earth.
Come Worship with Us and marvel in the work of Christ, our Great High Priest.
There are three essential components of the ministry of the priesthood or covenant mediation that we find established in the Scriptures, as a provision for sinful men: There must be something to offer, there must be a place to offer it, and there must be one who offers it. For centuries we find animals, an earthly temple, and human priests yet this was not good enough. We need that which is not a copy of the heavenly pattern, but the pattern itself. Christ is the perfect revelation of that heavenly pattern.

Life From Death | Ruth 4:1-22
Ruth 4:1-22 NKJV - Now Boaz went up to the gate and sat down there; and behold, the close relative of whom Boaz had spoken came by. So Boaz said, “Come aside, friend, sit down here.” So he came aside and sat down. 2 And he took ten men of the elders of the city, and said, “Sit down here.” So they sat down. 3 Then he said to the close relative, “Naomi, who has come back from the country of Moab, sold the piece of land which belonged to our brother Elimelech. 4 And I thought to inform you, saying, ‘Buy it back in the presence of the inhabitants and the elders of my people. If you will redeem it, redeem it; but if you will not redeem it, then tell me, that I may know; for there is no one but you to redeem it, and I am next after you.’”
And he said, “I will redeem it.”
5 Then Boaz said, “On the day you buy the field from the hand of Naomi, you must also buy it from Ruth the Moabitess, the wife of the dead, to perpetuate the name of the dead through his inheritance.”
6 And the close relative said, “I cannot redeem it for myself, lest I ruin my own inheritance. You redeem my right of redemption for yourself, for I cannot redeem it.”
7 Now this was the custom in former times in Israel concerning redeeming and exchanging, to confirm anything: one man took off his sandal and gave it to the other, and this was a confirmation in Israel.
8 Therefore the close relative said to Boaz, “Buy it for yourself.” So he took off his sandal. 9 And Boaz said to the elders and all the people, “You are witnesses this day that I have bought all that was Elimelech’s, and all that was Chilion’s and Mahlon’s, from the hand of Naomi. 10 Moreover, Ruth the Moabitess, the widow of Mahlon, I have acquired as my wife, to perpetuate the name of the dead through his inheritance, that the name of the dead may not be cut off from among his brethren and from his position at the gate. You are witnesses this day.”
11 And all the people who were at the gate, and the elders, said, “We are witnesses. The LORD make the woman who is coming to your house like Rachel and Leah, the two who built the house of Israel; and may you prosper in Ephrathah and be famous in Bethlehem. 12 May your house be like the house of Perez, whom Tamar bore to Judah, because of the offspring which the LORD will give you from this young woman.”
Descendants of Boaz and Ruth
13 So Boaz took Ruth and she became his wife; and when he went in to her, the LORD gave her conception, and she bore a son. 14 Then the women said to Naomi, “Blessed be the LORD, who has not left you this day without a close relative; and may his name be famous in Israel! 15 And may he be to you a restorer of life and a nourisher of your old age; for your daughter-in-law, who loves you, who is better to you than seven sons, has borne him.” 16 Then Naomi took the child and laid him on her bosom, and became a nurse to him. 17 Also the neighbor women gave him a name, saying, “There is a son born to Naomi.” And they called his name Obed. He is the father of Jesse, the father of David.
18 Now this is the genealogy of Perez: Perez begot Hezron; 19 Hezron begot Ram, and Ram begot Amminadab; 20 Amminadab begot Nahshon, and Nahshon begot Salmon; 21 Salmon begot Boaz, and Boaz begot Obed; 22 Obed begot Jesse, and Jesse begot David.

Romans 11:1-10 NKJV - I say then, has God cast away His people? Certainly not! For I also am an Israelite, of the seed of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin. 2 God has not cast away His people whom He foreknew. Or do you not know what the Scripture says of Elijah, how he pleads with God against Israel, saying, 3 “LORD, they have killed Your prophets and torn down Your altars, and I alone am left...

Despite the bitterness of Naomi, God is, as a testimony of His extraordinary patience, weaving through His sovereign hand a means whereby a king will come to the family of Elimelech and to Israel. In fact, Naomi's spirits are lifted by the end of Chapter 2 after hearing of the kindness of Boaz to her and her family. God would indeed restore the fortunes of Naomi, Ruth, Boaz, and to the whole na...

Psalm 2
@@reformationopc28054 11 Serve the Lord with fear, and rejoice with trembling. When we are in peace, not fear, we know we are connected with God's understanding.
We do not wage war against evil men out of fear, but rather with a heart of love towards God and for our neighbor (Psalm 63:9-11; 139:21-24). We wield the sword of the Spirit against principalities and powers for the sake of setting others free and unto the destroying of the strongholds of the Devil. We are in a battle (Ephesians 6:10-18) for the souls of men. We believe in the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, of Elijah, Daniel, and Josiah, the God of David and in Jesus Christ His only Son our Lord. They are the same God, and we believe upon Him and then obey His command to be fruitful, take dominion, make disciples, and take ground from the enemy for the sake of our Risen King!
@@reformationopc28054 "Ask and you shall receive." Ask for understanding and you receive peace. "And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." Ask for war and that is what you get. Over and over and over again.
@@robertdouglas8895 Christ of course brings peace, blessed peace between God and men, but only through Spirit-wrought union. We do not share this union/peace with all. With some we are in conflict: Matthew 10:34 “Do not think that I came to bring peace on earth. I did not come to bring peace but a sword. 35 For I have come to ‘set[j] a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law’; 36 and ‘a man’s enemies will be those of his own household.’ 37 He who loves father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me. And he who loves son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me. 38 And he who does not take his cross and follow after Me is not worthy of Me. 39 He who finds his life will lose it, and he who loses his life for My sake will find it.
4:03 Ah. The doctrine of election. That ancient error. What comes next in this video will be awful and unbiblical.
0:24 The number of those he has called is ALL. He has called ALL people. Are you going to teach he has only called some people??
@@TheRomans9Guy Yes. Only the elect are inwardly called, effectually by the Holy Spirit. God has not called all men outwardly, because there are many who have never heard. Even then there are those who hear the outward call who are not called inwardly and thus are not regenerate and so no faith and justification.
@ All of that is rubbish. Everyone is elect. God calls, chooses, loves, draws and forgives all men. He gives all men the ability and responsibility to surrender, repent and have faith. To those who do he will grant eternal life. All of that election/reprobation hocus pocus is nonsense.
@@TheRomans9Guy Are you a univeralist?
@ Definitely not. All men have sinned god has forgiven all men and given all men the ability and responsibility to surrender, repent and bhave faith. To those who do he will grant eternal life. Not Universalism.
@@TheRomans9Guy "Everyone is elect. God calls, chooses, loves, draws and forgives all men." So God fails then?
0:15 Well, no, Paul deals with God’s purpose of election earlier, in verse 17. He raised up Israel so that they would shine the way for the Gentiles.
You are right… the children of Abraham were meant to be a blessing to the nations and yet in this they largely failed, rather they became like the nations they were called to reach.
