Good question My earlier game play was on a computer with an RTX 2080Ti That was giving me 4K AND it was encoding the stream to my main PC, so I wasn't too surprised to see it was streaming at 30fps The reason I was streaming between two computers was due too much heat generation in the summer from the main computer The quality settings were maxed out mind so I didn't have any issues with it initially What you'll be seeing now though is on GeForce NOW Ultimate I'll need to check as at one point I noticed the server wasn't using an RTX 4080 but the quality seems better all the same as it's 4K at 60fps and that's as much as my monitor can handle The settings don't get maxed out as they balance them, just like GeForce Experience would on a PC But when I did the sums, this is a lot cheaper than building a newer computer with a high end GPU and it saves a lot on electricity costs as well as I'm no longer running two computers as well There are rare times where the quality and/or connection drops out entirely and in some cases you might you lose control and only get the video output I had one episode for instance where Biggles kept running forward and he ending up getting killed; Not something you'd want to see in a sudden death game Not all games are playable on the platform and some newer ones that have since become available aren't syncing the Steam saves with my old PC and so I can't switch over Patching of games seems to be a bit behind as well I've been using this now since March and cost wise it feels like it was the better choice They've just imposed a recent cap of 100 hours per month though so I'll have to see if that causes a problem going forward

He is a good companion and he has some funny lines at times

Dude, Autumn update is gonna be crazy. Swords, armour and shields with a revamped combat system. I really hope they eventually get bandits to raid player villages etc

My PC is out of date so you probably can't get the parts, but it's doing well for this game ASUS ROG Maximus XI Code Z390 Motherboard Intel Core i9-9900K Processor Corsair iCUE H150i RGB Liquid CPU Cooler G.SKILL F4-3866C18D-16GTZR Trident Z RGB Series 16 GB (8 GB x 2) DDR4 3866 MHz PC4-30900 Samsung SSD 970 EVO Plus 500GB NVMe Samsung SSD 970 EVO Plus 1TB NVMe EVGA GeForce RTX2080Ti FTW3 Ultra I actually stream games from that PC to another one using Steam Remote Play So the PC renders the game, AND encodes it at 4K for streaming I do get tearing in the recording, but it's a problem with OBS as the gameplay output is fine I think gaming computers are too expensive now so I've recently switched to GeForce Now Output for that will come out in about 2 weeks Oddly enough, I get tearing in that recording as well, so again due to OBS

@@JustPlayTheGame-ry8qe es, computers for games are now very expensive, I spent the money myself, but it doesn’t always produce 60 FPS in 2k and 1080 at full settings. And GeForce Now is an interesting option!

Yeah, it was a very clever way to let you replay the game It's an interesting way to integrate new DLCs as well

This is a great game to play I've yet to test the rover but the DLC sounds really interesting

It takes a long time to get technology points I found that if you do side quests, some of them reward you with those, so I started focusing only on them The amount you get does go up over time, but it's random what quests you get Now I'm just finding things to do as I want to see what Apprenticeship is like

I quite like the adoring fan as he has nothing to do with game as such Just follows you around, helps in gun fights and carries things for you If it wasn't in space mind we could have just had a dog to help us

Nice name I'm surprised what this ended up looking like as I just wanted big rooms But turrets are so so useful when you can't handle weapons or don't want to keep clicking in space fights

@@JustPlayTheGame-ry8qe i have a ship with three sets of turrets. It's way bigger than the vanilla build limit thanks to a mod. Slow as anything, but super high hull & shields means nothing can kill it.

Thanks for the feedback, much appreciated I wouldn't have the time to do editing on the scale suggested But this channel is basically a commentary free version of another channel I run. So on that channel for instance, you'll find the exact same Starfield videos but with me talking Interestingly enough a video on this channel sometimes gets more views than the one I talk in, so go figure There are a few games I'm doing only on this channel as I want some diversity and for some games, I think any commentary gets in the way Editing will be much easier for large content creators though as they can pay someone else to do that It's amazing how much time goes into basic editing, let alone stitching parts together before rendering a video, creating thumbnails, outros, etc.

I have another channel that I do comment on, put I know some people like watching games without commentary so I setup this channel up just for that I can see the appeal for certain games, including this one

I haven't really seen this as a space game More of an RPG with an attempt to throw in a space theme Most of your time is spent talking to people and doing things for them Every now and then you're in space scanning and occasionally involved in space fights

It is an interesting game Even just the background music is great to listen to

You're in for a long wait having a kid I think you have to wait until they're 14 before you can put them to work And 18 years before they can take over the dynasty A tavern and mine though is very useful I just noticed recently that outsiders visit your tavern I knew the specialist trader and King's herald sometimes visited, so I was wondering who these folks were at night But once you get a mine you can assign folks to work there and you can get iron as well

Yeah, this has been a long time; It takes over 2 hours per season Would have been even longer if I didn't speed up crafting Have you tried the Oxbow map yet?

I wish I like how the devs have added and altered speech over time Sometimes you can tell it's random what they say, but sometimes it's based on your state or what you're doing When you travel with your kid I've noticed they can come out with something insulting and embarrassing at times

I've been running this on an EVGA GeForce RTX2080Ti FTW3 Ultra and Intel Core i9-9900K Processor on UItra settings The quality I see on my screen is better than the recorded version and it's really good considering the PC also streams it to another computer for me to play on So that PC not only runs a high spec game, but the GPU also encodes it to be sent over the LAN The GPU is outdated mind for doing something like this and what I see on the final computer is at 30 FPS I didn't even realise though until much much later and the OBS recording unfortunately ended up with some tearing

I really like the chapter quests and the ones for the main characters, so it is fun to restart But then I found out that when your kid reaches 18, your dynasty can carry on without you and you can play them if something bad happens to you They've since added in more quests for your heir so I'm interested to see what happens this time They also added a lot of things to the game since I played it before and now you get apprentices at 14 I think So I want to see what that's like although I think they get trained but don't produce anything I could speed the game up, say 1 day in a season, but last time I did that the game seemed to fall apart as the villagers didn't have time to get anything done, lol

The villagers should be getting these really, but I think either I have someone selling them or someone else is using them to make something but I needed a lot more than I expected

It's one of those games where you can only say so much

Yes you can do 3rd person You can only ride one horse at a time But you can change your riding horse, so it depends on how many mature horses you own I'd say the limit on horses is how many stable slots you have; 4 horses per stable And there is a limit on how many buildings you have. The game lets you adjust this but it could impact performance Not sure what limit there is on color You can buy different colored horses from a vendor And when you breed your own horses, the color of the foal is usually different So there are several colors I've seen, but I haven't counted

I think it's a really good game if you just want to chill out There is some combat if you want it, but each to their own I liked the background music when the game was still in early access, and although they've changed it since, this music is good as well

I haven't played a bard before but I heard the dialogue was good in this game, so I had to give it a try There have been some very funny moments and he's actually been surprisingly good as a rogue

@@JustPlayTheGame-ry8qe believe me when I say, it is 100% a survival game and a strategy game but I understand what you mean

I wouldn't say so as it's quite unique among games It's about building your own village and recruiting NPCs to help you It has a story line but it doesn't last long. After that's finished, it's back to building your village and doing some quests every season There is some fighting, if you want it, but that was something they added in as an afterthought I think because it involves bandits you find in camps, but usually you have to look for them unless you wander around the map

It is a good game to play so hopefully the console release won't be far away

Yeah it is a fun game to play I don't remember another game that lets you build your own buildings from scratch, but also repair ones that are put into the game

Yeah, it is a very long game One way I found to speed things up is to focus on quests that provide technology points It's easier to get to the more remote villages now as you can pay for it Although a donkey is useful as well once that's unlocked
