Dear Jessica, Thank you so much for continuing this enthralling story 😍! This video indubitably is as excellent as its predecessors, with Severus subtly but effectively verifying his interest in Miss Clearwater/us by eliminating the competition for her/our attention. After his clarification of the requirements of night patrol, I felt highly intimidated and incapable of realizing these responsibilities. But, then, I remembered the lyrics of a vintage song: “The Night Has A Thousand Eyes,” composed by Buddy Bernier (lyrics) and Jerry Brainin (melody), and performed by Bobby Vee.. The primary verse pertains to a girl or woman who reputedly is unfaithful; her boyfriend warns her that, if she is, he will realize it, because “The Night Has A Thousand Eyes.” (This could be applied to the story in Severus’s admonishment, masquerading as the description of her duties, that if she dares to flirt with Professor Harrington, Severus will be cognizant thereof.) However, in the final rhyme, the perspective ingeniously (and incriminatingly) switches: with the boyfriend proclaiming, “I could never disguise all my little white lies/‘Cause the night has a thousand eyes!” (Is Severus exhorting her to stay away from Professor Harrington….or, perhaps, from himself? Will HE be tempted to violate the regulations and….romance Miss Clearwater? (I sincerely hope so 😉).
