I have a Casio CDP-200R which has some spongey black keys, and something rattling around inside, blocking other keys. In this video, I open it up and fix the keys, which were caused by the weighted arms on some keys coming loose.
Fixing dead keys on a Roland RD-150 stage piano

In this video, I repair a Roland RD-150 stage piano that has several keys that have completely stopped working. Initially I thought it was just dirty/corroded key contacts, but it turned out to be a burnt PCB track on the upper key switch board.

How to break in to a Givi toolbox
มุมมอง 436ปีที่แล้ว
If you've lost the key to your Givi toolbox, here's a way to break into it to get to the contents and lock barrel to re-key it. While picking the lock is an option, these locks are a bit trickier to pick than normal locks, and this way is much easier.
Motorbike spotlight installation - Yamaha XT600E 1996

Installing spotlights on a motorbike makes a huge difference when riding at night. There are lots of cheap, bright spotlight options, but wiring these in is often the most difficult part. This video shows you how to wire in the spotlights with a separate switch, so that they can only be turned on when the high beams are on - if the high beams are turned off, the spotlights are automatically tur...
Yamaha AG03 Mixer - a game changer for video conferencing
มุมมอง 7542 ปีที่แล้ว
I think the Yamaha AG03 is a game changer for video conferencing. It has a loopback feature which allows you to feed audio from your computer back into the the mix. This means not only can you monitor the sound from your own mic through your headphones, but you can also hear audio from a video conference through them too. This means you can use a high quality microphone, know that you’re audio ...

Quick and easy hand polishing gemstones without special equipment

A little bit about how electrolytic rust removal works - in particular, how the electrolyte concentration and electrode size affects the amount of current drawn.

      On my iPhone i use the Apple Lightning to USB Camera adapter, and then plug it in via the regular USB-A to USB-B cable. For iPad pro I use a USB-C to USB-A adapter or USB-C dock. Hope that helps.

      Thanks! Glad you liked it! I wonder if you could find some way to mount a diamond sharpening plate to a vibratory multitool, and then fix that to a bench upside down and use it as a high speed sharpening surface? A sheet type orbital sander is the other thing that comes to mind, but I'm not sure if they only oscillate in one plane, or if they would jump around too much?

    Looks like maybe agate. Nice job! I've been cutting opal with sandpaper, my newest hobby. Isn't it hard to scrape up against the knife sharpener with all of those holes? I feel like it would get caught. Nice job man! Thanks for the video!

    • @Blokecrafts
      @Blokecrafts ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks! Do you mount the sandpaper on a sheet of glass? That's the best way I've found to get a really good flat surface for when i go 800grit and higher. I need to be very careful that there's no grit particles under the sandpaper, otherwise it will introduce scratches into the surface. You're right that the holes can make it tricky - just at the start though. Once you've ground down a reasonable amount you get effectively a bearing surface which makes it easier to keep it flat. You do need to be careful though otherwise you'll accidentally get multiple surfaces. Like with knife sharpening, you can use your hands / fingers to set a consistent angle, then use your arm or body to move it back and forth.

    Hi, I liked your video. I was wondering if you could give me some advice please. I bought a wee pink tourmaline charm and it is so dull. It's about 5mm and faceted. I tried to make it shine with toothpaste and a cloth but it was difficult as the stone is small. Is there anything else I could do to make the facets shine a bit? Thanks 👍

    • @Blokecrafts
      @Blokecrafts ปีที่แล้ว

      Unfortunately I think it would be almost impossible to re-polish by hand - unless you got all the angles exactly right you would end up rounding off the surfaces and would make it worse. I think the toothpaste idea is probably the best one so I’m not sure there are any better options. If you do find one though reply back here - I’d be interested to hear about it.
