      Hi Andrew, sounding really close, same op amp used in the cracklebox, but different behaviour, I've done some duos with Ernesto Rodrigues using the original one. It sounds really close

    sounds great! what's the h/w you used here, apart from the Mac? no live resampling of the cello here?

      Thanks, besides a piezo attached to the screen picking up the sound of the tinfoil, I was runnig a maxmsp patch on the mac that samples, and realtime spectral analyses and modifies the sound of the cello, a 4 voice harmonizer, a spectral freezer and a implementation in maxmsp of a PAF (phase aligned formant synthesis - phillip manoury), all controlled by midi with a novation launchcontrol XL. Also playing a Roland aira System 1M synth.

      @@yurijogurtsov8710 Its custom built on maxmsp, based on the FFT patches by Jean-Francois Charles, I dont use ableton, its all custom built and programmed on maxmsp, a larger patch with lots of bpatchers (samplers, granular, harmonizers, filters, ringmod, the paf synth and lots of FFT stuff for spectral manipulation. I used a lot the launchcontrol XL, really nice and smooth, but changed to a 16 chanel fader controller (XVI Destop faderbank) by Michigan synth works, because i can also control a modular synth with CV at the same time. Do you work with maxmsp on live sampling and manipulation on electroacoustic setups?

      ​@@kactusefemerus thanks again! been eyeing the Michigan's XVI for a while too, for its i2c/midi/cv combo. pity there's no similar knobs+buttons controller, smth like Dnipro Metamorph or 0-ctrl. I don't work with Max, but everything seems to push me in that direction - I've tried Euro but generally it disappoints, from both SQ & UI perspective. your example (of going the other way around) and advice is very valuable though. I'd not describe my endeavours as necessarily/strictly electroacoustic in its classic sense, but the principles/starting points are the same. the basis is 100% live/improvisational, but I restrict myself working only with live sound (be that a real instrument playing or a sample), so no oscillators at all, just real-time re-sampling of it, focusing more on rearranging its (macro) structures rather than on (timbral) effecting of those, while my devices all in a constant conversation in audio (midi/cv too, but audio stream is the key) which is being recorded, re-recorded, sliced, replaced and so on - I think that's the basis of music concrete, if not electroacoustic per se, but as it being stretched and compressed and phased etc or when I work with non-electronic musicians, it comes closer. other times the end results are wildly different. the purpose of possible going the Max route is that there's not enough communication between the hardware that suits those purposes, or it's too cumbersome (and if I'd like to include more of the timbral work - or shall I rather say, micro-structured - it's even more complicated). I currently use a combo of Octatrack (my fave machine ever), Monome Norns+Grid, Glou-Glou Loupe (which is midi- and cv-less, pitifully), iPad (for Borderlands granular and Samplr mainly), 1010 Blackbox (which is pain and noisefloor is too much) and a small rack with Nebulae in the heart of it (purely for its separate speed/pitch with a sweet phase vocoder algo) controlled by 0ctrl, and the SSL BigSix ties it all together. now I'm contemplating whether to grow my rack a bit, OD ER-301(its i2c could connect without noodles to Norns via Crow and interface those to other modules) being main candidate to save me from Max for a little longer... or go Ableton/Max4Live to simplify the workflow. but then again, the controllers! to round this off, technically and musically, I see a lot of common real-time structural mangling methods with the later Henrik Schwarz (their work with Bugge Wesseltoft), and he's all into Max - but he builds custom controllers in addition to custom scripts, and that frightens me. sorry for such an egoistic essay ;) it's just so rare to here (and meet) someone doing something similar, mature and very inspiring sonics with Eurorack either on youtube or in forums.

    what SQ settings for ADDAC in this case? generally, is it stable on you with the latest f/w below 5 grains, but them being long and modulated, plus re-recording the loop?

      Its more stable now with the last firmware update (1.7), I stick to 8/9 grains max and small lengths, a bit of deviation on the playhead (usually some CV modulation from a lfo), but if you go to long lenghts and 10 to 12 grains it gets lots of audio artifacts, probably the electrosmith Daisy Seed getting overloaded
