    i was at this show. got polluted drunk and helped chris break that beautiful hammond organ helping him load out. ( it was 90/10 me/him.) then tried stepping out of the van whilst moving through squirrel hill. forbes and murray area. yeah. good times. johnsons always did kill it.       Here in Belgium it's known that the interviewer (Bart Peeters) was a huge Joy Division fan, so Jim said those things to get him confused, it was not meant

      It's not though is it. They were a fantastic, groundbreaking and one of the most influential bands ever. Jim is actually a massive fan of Joy Division, he's taking the piss, as always.     I watched this PiL appearance on "American Bandstand" when it reaired on VH1 in the '90s ('90s teen here -- I was a baby when this was filmed) and about a week later I purchased Second Edition. Very, very effective appearance, this. Also, my strangest crush will always be the one I had on John Lydon as a high schooler.
