In one of the commercials that Barry Switzer does for the Proton Center & prostate cancer, he states how good the therapy is, and then he states he is fortunate that he doesn't have prostate cancer. What does that have to do with how good the therapy is? They (he) should have left that line out. He's actually attaching a stigma to having cancer. Makes me think he is embarrassed about having prostate cancer, so he has to make a disclaimer about not having it. In Emmitt Smith's commercial for Depend, he doesn't state one way or another whether he has cancer.

I was treated here 10 years ago and i feel like they saved my life. When i found out i had cancer of the worse kind i text my kids telling them i had cancer and was going to have it all cut out. Boy what a bad mistake i was about to make. My kids told me i was going to do proton. When i set with my neurologist for a meeting i told him i looked into proton therapy and was going to do proton. His next statement was...how did i find out about that. I then realized i was making right decisions. My friend at the same time did xray radiation and now wears a pee bag. Tell people you meet about proton. Help them know about proton. Cutting the prostate out is not good. Have you ever ate a watermelon and not left some? Burning it out with radiation leaves a most certain chance you will wear a pee bag. I made the right decision. Im lucky someone told me about proton. When you go for treatments you set at a big round table and meet other people. Setting there are plain people like me but there are also setting there... doctors, doctors sons, doctors wives and family waiting on their turn for treatment. I was so proud they was with me and i was with them to do proton together. Im proud that my girls told me what to do.

I had surgery about 1.5 yrs ago, and it was very painful! I am a strong, healthy 64 yr old and the proton therapy has to be better since 2 friends had it. been wondering every since, now taking 33 radiation treatments.Jackson Tn doesn't have proton yet, could have went to nashville. Are my doctors just not informed on this? Would not wish surgery on anyone, not to mention cabbage disease, lol, head wont hold up the stalk!

I am so proud of Rissie! Rissie is so awesome as a person, mother, rider and leader. May God bless Her and her family. John is a wonderful man and their children are so incredibly responsible. Hallelujah!

What an inspiring tribute. It made me cry uncontrollably. My Grandaughter has just arrived in OKC for treatment at Procure. I know the emotion that is involved xxxx. But to see this is truly awesome. There are people who do care so much for these families and kids who are affected. Thank you. It means so much xxxx
