Hello, with the ALPINE PXE-C80-88 do we have to use an alpine amplifier for the subwoofer? If we don't use a hi-res amplifier, does the sound remain in hi-res?

So i bought Silverado SS, loved the sound system, sounds like a surround sound in a theater, until i realized that one door speker had a sketchy sound, went to my friends shop, they told me that it had a full focal speker system, did not know what i had untill i went and looked to get a new set for my doors and let me tell u that i was impressed with the brand. Love the quality of acoustic sound that it gives.

I do not recommend any DSP from Audison & Hertz to anyone who live in a cold weather. I can't believe they even sell it in so many countries where is cold weather. They operate in 0 - X degree range. At -8 degree on cold winter on my side, it died on the second winter. You can see it in specs also. Probably if you live in countries without cold climate where temps do not touch 0 degree it is ok. I've spent good money on Audison Forta 8.9 bit + lot of other staff and my amplifier died second winter in the cold. This was a waste of money and I would like to make sure other knows about it when they want to purchase Audison or Herts electronic stuff. Guys, you should look at their specs: Operating Temp Range. I replaced amp with alpine one that operate fine from -10 as amplifier and DSP from Helix which operates from -45 degree(WOW) guys. I documented myself and I found others with same issue, audison and herts stuff dies in cold.

Just checked out the MOHAWK PLATINUM-SERIES SQ 10 inch Subwoofer SVC 4 Ohm Basically, it's a Scanspeak Discovery 26W 4558T00 … but more expensive, because it has the Mowhawk logo (cough) on the dust cap. T/S parameter near identical ... basket design, double stack magnets, cone, surround! *FACEPALM* I suspect the rest of the range is just as overpriced !
