Thank you. I’m supposed to have my procedure done in 2 weeks. Before that my obgyn Dr prescribed Lupron. The worst thing ever it’s an e pensive shot and it makes fibroids grow. Stay away from Lupron

I had the procedure done on November 9. I have not gotten my period. My last period was on October 22. I’ve always been normal. I’m worried.

When I discovered that i had fibroids, I sought out natural remedies. So I purchased a fibroid buster herbs. When Itook that I was sick, couldnt eat, couldn't sleep and was in constant pain. So much so I lost 14 lbs in 3 days, laying in bed feeling miserable. So finally some friends came and took me to the e.r. Upon doing an ultrasound, it showed that one of the fibroids, the biggest one had ruptured. The herbs worked, so if the pain is anywhere near that, then I might have to go back to the herbs but at a lower dose because it does state they will pass through the vagina.

How was your experience with the general anesthesia?

Thank you for sharing your experience. I am on the third week. I had several fibroids and some giant ones as well. The doctor told me my case is unique and they never seen such a power house of blood. I ended up get constipated, I couldnt walk it was terrible. I am a very active person. It sucked being down for a little. It was even hard to drive. I still have pressure in my stomach. But I feel a little better, my stomach started shrinking. I just had a CT scan, one fibroid shrink already by 2 cm. I did experience sharp pain on the right during the end of the first week. I was not able to sleep and had a hard time getting up. I am praying that I get a good results based on my situation.

Thank you so much for sharing your experience. I’m on day 12 post procedure. Still cramping but I can tell they’re shrinking. Without the extra pressure on my bladder, I haven’t urinated on myself not once since the procedure. It was a constant problem beforehand. I’m looking forward to the 7 week mark😊

From doctors that have been doing UFE for 20 years they find it is untrue you cannot get pregent and some clinics report an increase in twins.

I know this was a long time ago. I'm getting a surgical consult in April for this. I'm so worried about the pain after. I've read and heard some intense experiences. How long did the pain last and how bad was it? Did you experience nausea also? Did the medication cause constipation? I appreciate you sharing.

How long was your surgery

Everybody is different of course. I just had this procedure and I had NO PAIN at all.

I had my embolizacion done January 26th 2023, my fibroid 9.3 cm. Immediately after the procedure I felt the TERRIBLE and excruciating pain. I'm swollen 😕, I'm still cramping. This is worst procedure ever. But I'm praying for my fibroid to go away 🙏

I'm glad I came across your video. I just had my full hysterectomy 3 weeks ago and didn't even think to wear a waist trainer!! I'm still sleeping in the binder they put on me after surgery but imma try to wear a trainer during the day.

As they say we are different. I certainly am. I just want to say be prepared for the pain. I had mild pain for 2 days, nausea once and I thought all was well will be good soon. Then on 3rd day I can't describe this pain, for 5days! the Codeine, paracetamol, Ibuprofen didn't work, I had no appetite, could not sit, sleep, stand it was "right in your face" pain. Hot water bottle was my salvation. I felt as if I had a major operation. I started feeling much better day 10.

I'm having the surgery in six days this really helped 😊

Thanks for all the info... Just a question about first period after the procedure. Was there any delay??...

I had this procedure ( through the wrist) performed 3 weeks ago. I can say I had a very good outcome. I honestly feel fine. The first two days following the procedure, I slept a-lot specifically because of the narcotic pain med I was taking. By day 3 (post procedure) I stopped taking the narcotic pain med( which was an option for me as indicated by the medication schedule). I remained compliant in taking all other medications as detailed in the 14 day post procedure follow-up instructions. I am a person who had multiple fibroids of various sizes which resulted in me having an enlarged uterus, painful periods, low iron anemia, frequent urination, unending bloating, etc. My personal experience with UFE, was that my pain the first few days post procedure was minimal, likely because I remained compliant with the med schedule. By day 4 post procedure I felt like I was back to about 75%, as I found I did become tired easily, had mild cramping, and did experience some constipation ( which eventually subsided thank goodness). I did return to work by day 4 and began doing cardio again by day 4, with each day improving . I'm at the end of week 3 (post procedure), and I feel pretty much back to normal with regard to daily activities done (pre- procedure). Anyone thinking about this procedure, a few things I'll suggest to maybe help minimize your down time and level of discomfort post procedure: 1. If you don't already, start engaging in some type of exercise regimen now (before the procedure). Even if you just walk for 30 minutes a day on most days 2. Follow the instructions with regard to what to eat and not eat the 24 -36 hours before the procedure and adhere to the instruction to not eat or drink anything hours prior to your procedure day. 3. Follow the post procedure medication schedule to include taking all the meds as instructed at the times instructed. I also had a heating pad, which helped a lot. 4. Try to walk at least 30 minutes per day post procedure, as soon as you have the energy to do so. 5. Most importantly- research who you elect to do this procedure! Which means you may have to travel if you want to go to the best radiologists. I highly recommend the Fibroid institute of Dallas. Dr. Slonim is a UFE expert who cares. Check out the facility's TH-cam for patient testimonials etc. so happy I opted for UFE instead hysterectomy!
