How it feels to play Prototype for the first time
This video share my experience playing Prototype for the first time. Turns out the game is surprisingly good, but definitely doesn't reach the level of a classic like Infamous. Nevertheless, taken on its on merit, there is a lot to enjoy here, if you're willing to overlook some repetition.

God of War (2005) received ciritical acclaim when it came out in 2005. Now, after nearly two decades since its release, I decided to use the ps plus premium tier to relive the experience. Did I find a timeless classic, or a game too held down by dated game design to hold up to modern scrutiny. Find out in this video. Remember Tomb Raider (2013)? It's STILL GREAT
มุมมอง 2882 ปีที่แล้ว
Tomb Raider 2013 is perhaps gaming's greatest reboot, at least of those I've experienced. Doing research and playing it for review revealed a project with a lot of care and love put into it, that I didn't appreciate when I played it all those years ago. Hopefully, this review can help you understand why I think this game is still worth playing after nearly ten years. Please use chapter bars to ...

Astral Chain 2022 Review | The BEST Hack N' Slash Action Game No One Talks About
มุมมอง 19K2 ปีที่แล้ว
Next to BOTW Astral Chain was the game I was most excited to play when I got my Switch last year. The game was better than I expected-fusing anime cops, Neon Evangelion, and Pokemon into a refreshing medley. This is why it's so disappointing that one of the best new IPs in recent years has seemingly been forgotten merely three years after its release. Hopefully, this review can help show you wh...
Why you should NOT skip SCARLET NEXUS (2022 REVIEW) | 4K
มุมมอง 46K2 ปีที่แล้ว
Scarlet Nexus was quietly one of the best games of 2021, and if you're on the fence about it, then this review is for you. This review goes IN-DEPTH on what to expect from the game, both the good and the bad.
Not even close! Scarlet Nexus IMO 😊
Boku no pico online is better
SN Ultimate Edition at $20 on PS online. Worth it?
reasons i dont play industry defining games is cus theyre focus is hardly on fun... or style. Gimme an anime game unafraid to be niche anytime!
Scarlet nexus is a better game with everything except how it handles cutscenes. Like I think they were going for a comic book like feel but it just doesn't work. Also Ig quests aren't good but to say arise quests are good would be a stretch too both their side quests are kinda bad but in different ways.
Uhh..Tales of Arise is most def the better game. Better story, better gameplay, more exciting combat system, better graphics, and great dialogue within your team. The real match up should be TOA vs Grandblue Fantasy Relink.
TOA was a cool ride, with good characters, good plot and really good battle mechanics. It was fun to play the game and i was always wanting to know what's gonna happen next. SN i just droped. I've tried to pick up again a couple more times, but it's just so bland and boring. The plot is not as exciting and the overall world is boring.
man, i wish the emulator ran this game at 60fps and not 30
Im the better game 🗿
I was just randomly reminded about this game. And I have to say platinum games except for Bayonetta are always a rollercoaster ride. Good stuff are good, bad stuff are bad . And man, were the edges rough around everywhere. Especially for it's clunky controls, I'd say If this game wasn't out during the golden time of Nintendo switch where players are hungry about any decent games, it definitely would failed much harder.
Still hold hoped for a sequel
The gameplay in this game is generational The game in general made the Switch worth getting for me
Just got this at GameStop for $5. I used my monthly reward so it was free.
Same here!! Got it yesterday! Excited to try it out!
Tales of Arise as the main dish, Scarlet Nexus as the side dish. Both are good.
IDK if you were trying to do this, but both of thee games sound rather unappealing. Nevertheless I appreciate your honesty when bringing up criticisms.
I've experienced Tales Of Arise's combat system firsthand, wow so fluid! When fighting normal enemies, not so much when it comes to Minibosses and bosses though, they can only be staggered by boost skills which was kind of dull, I didn't really like it, especially when the boss' health is like 400k (looking at you Nazamil) or 800k+ (looking at you again Nazamil), in normal difficulty.
I am surprised that many did not like the story! The final boss is one of the best villain I see in a jrpg!
Bro I feel like the Legions are not being used to their full potentials. Remember that skill the axe legion did when he jabs his axe to the ground and everything in the vesinity explodes? Yeah I see no one using that skill.
This is one of those games I wish got a sequel. Not only were there _a lot_ of unanswered questions there's so much potential for more story to be told. And like you said, the combat is peak and really lets you experiment.
We need a Scarlett Nexus 2! Such an under rated gem.
TOA is a better game, but the dialogue is insane, especially in the final 3rd. I've sat waiting to play for over an hour whilst the cast debate the same things over and over. its such a slog at times
I got SN last year and holy shit I loved the game, never played TOA so I can't express my opinion about the game but if you have the chance buy SN it's definitely worth it
the combat in SN i like better but the story + great combat in tales of arise is not better than SN but in terrms of story and characters are way better
What's up with the enemy variety? Looks like there's 3 types of them.
I just wish Marvel and DC would take cues from how well these games work though. I bought Gravity Rush because somebody actually did flight right. That crew should take on Superman.
Of course tales starts with character building because the characters themselves don’t know about the world when they learn about the world you do that was a shit take almost like you have to say something negative for review
Ive played both games and got all their DLC's and heres my take You play tales of arise if you are more into the lore and worldbuilding of the game meanwhile scarlet nexus has one of if not the best gameplay mechanics in a jrpg game with better endgame and dlc content (except story). Plus the boss fights are way better than tales of arise. The story of scarlet nexus was good but if you compare it to a tales game such as arise, I'd rate it a 6/10. The main story lacked presentation and was fcking short so the worldbuilding wasnt that established even with the karen travers dlc story. Tales of arise overall is 7.5/10. I couldve rated it higher if the gameplay was more optimized and smooth. The boss fights were more of a survival game than cinematic or memorable. But Im not lying when I say that tales of arise story and worldbuilding is within top 5 of my favorite tales series. So heres a summary Story - Arise Gameplay - Scarlet nexus DLC story - Arise DLC content except story -Scarlet nexus DLC value - Scarlet nexus (Arise DLC is too expensive and not worth it.) Open world - Scarlet nexus Leveling system - Scarlet nexus Endgame content -Scarlet nexus Affordability -Scarlet nexus. They tend to go on 70%-80% discount frequently than tales
Arise
i honestly prefer the gameplay of astral Chain before Nier Autómata.
Just completed the game! Astral Perfection! 225h+ I wish this game didn't get review-bombed by angry Sony Ponies. This game gets over shadowed by subpar/over rated hack n slashes like NieR or DMC or Bayonetta. It deserves so much better bcuz it rly is the best Hack n Slash out there Hack n Slashes are a hit-or-miss genre You got good ones like Astral Chain or Metal Gear Rising with mechanics like Parrying, dodging, and perfect timing that allow you to insta kill enemies. Using abilities and debuffs and whatever And You got the bad ones that're just Light/Heavy attack, button input combos, floating in the air and juggling enemies, and errything is just a *hit sponge.* All nothing but fancy swipes and slashes
I just purchased Scarlet Nexus yesterday. And I’m loving the combat sytem of it. It’s not that hard but also not that easy. It really needs my full attention when battling bosses because I might die when I failed to focus. However, I can’t say what is the better game because I haven’t purchased Tales of Arise yet, I am a bit skeptical based on what the video said, Tales of Arise has a lengthy storyline, that I doubt I can finish. Because I’m busy in real life too that I only play games when there’s a free time. But for now, I think it’s safe to say that it really is better to have a game that has a rate of 7 than a game that has a rate of 8 that you can’t finish.
I love everything about Scarlet Nexus, it's an amazing game with great conbat, story and characters. I remember falling asleep whilst playing the demo for Tales Of Arise, so i might not play it. Scarlet Nexus is my most favorite Non-Sonic game and I've not even beat one story yet.
❤ I love this game so much. The expansion too! ❤ I do however wish i could shut up all the shouting in the combat
Actually the story is pretty good
It's it's not the worst type of story for the shut your brain off type story that's for sure. It's cheesy but it feels like an older action movie kind of thing cheesy. So overall pretty decent
Finally doing a second playthrough, with my first being 2 years ago. Does anyone know the pins for the locked files?
1125 - the birthday of the protagonist and Akira Howard.
Really enjoying tales of arise right now. I am no where near finishing it either. But it’s good to look out for another game in the same genre to look out for next.
Hot take. better combat than gow 2018
Didn't like tale of Arise at all. Felt soulless and generic copy paste. I was really looking forward to it too. Scarlet Nexus was OK. Preferred it to Arise.
Scarlet Nexus is trash beyond trash. If you have the opinion you prefer the game to TOA, its a flawed opinion and you probably thought the Kodama character made any sense. The lock system is terrible in Scarlet Nexus, the combat gets repetitive, its not deep, there is no depth, its difficulty is a joke even on hard, or very hard. Half the time avoiding damage is just a matter of staying away. There is no theme of bonds, Yuito didnt need to be in the game, the dual protagonist shit is dumb and makes no sense. The game is beyond garbage as an rpg, it offers nothing for gear, there is no progression, its surface level, the materials are bare bones content, the characters are forgetable, its just trash, dont even compare it to Devil May Cry.
Love both games, I feel SN has better combat, and TA has a way better storyline
I started scarlet nexus with the female character and she was so annoying to follow. That and the girl that’s very smart, it was just annoying slog to get through. But the characters started to grown on me as the story went on. It’s a very fun game to play but it’s definitely more on the action side. If you want an rpg experience go with tales
Do not believe the reviews, this game was a snooze fest and phase 12 (the last world) is a SLOG.
I like the video! Although your opening of reminding you of Heros defeating evil isn't part of the game though, it's a secret shady task force enslaving creatures to fight other creatures. That's pretty f*cked lol Maybe in a second game it will be revealed that its the humans fault the creatures came in the first place... BUT I get the confusion 😅
7 that you love, than an 8 that you never finished. I hope you aren’t referring to the ff series🥲
just finished this game. its awesome. great action game.
All I really remember about this game is absorbing old people. Then just going ape on everything, while looking like someone's grandparent. The senseless rampage this game allows you to engage in is unforgettable.
Should've watched your review before buying Tales of Arise 😁
For all the issues you had, and your disagreement to the presence of the Zelda-like dungeon parts (valid enough on how the end tower drags on), i'm glad that you did have fun with the majority of Darksiders. However, if you haven't come across people saying this yet, there's a strange core to the Darksiders series where every game is a bit different to the other. There's a general throughline of the hack-and-slash/character action combat and puzzles, but still every game does different things compared to the others. For example, Darksiders 2 does feel like it builds and adds upon DS1, in terms of combat, lore and dungeons alike. It's quite long and at some point it does drag on though, and people have been very split on the loot RPG aspect. On one hand, people have had a lot of fun crafting "builds", and both the Light and Heavy secondary weapon types, which are split in two different movesets, have unique Charge/Sweet Spot Release attacks per weapon. And on top of that, there's two different branches of Magic spells to utilize. On the other hand, some people just don't like the idea of numbers and stats in a combat system like this. Which leads to the point of Possessed Weapons. They're the rarest weapon type, but aren't just "rare is strong". You can *feed* Possessed Weapons other equipment you don't need, for up to five level-ups, and if you feed them the right gear you can upgrade pre-existing stats or add entirely new ones. It's very easy to abuse this system and can make the game trivial with the right setup-- plus, it's not the most challenging to begin with yet again (Though i personally think that it's still valid to use underleveled gear to challenge oneself more. I've been wanting to try one such a run). If you don't mind some visual spoilers, i'd recommend looking up a Combo Mad or two of Darksiders 2. Despite the RPG aspects i mentioned, there's a good moveset on its own. And within that aforementioned character action/puzzle dungeon core, Darksiders 3 does manage to be an outlier. There's not really any dungeons except for the Keepers of the Void DLC, but the main combat isn't designed quite the same as 1 and 2, being a more Souls-y direction. Yet it still retains elements of its predecessors by way of quick weapon swapping, and the weapons in question also have effect on the environment. World design of that one seems to be tighter and more interconnected as well. And Darksiders Genesis is a two-character prequel venture from an isometric view. Has a hub world where you can select Chapters to play instead of an open/interconnected world, the player characters differ greatly in playstyle, combo paths and options aren't as complex as its predecessors, but magic is more readily available, puzzles are still very good, different Enhancements for the player weapons that you can find in the different levels and during combat swap between very quickly, and I dare assume that you may find the bosses in Genesis to be amongst the best designed in the entire series. i do understand criticisms like the end dungeon of DS1, and for the middle part of the game there's not really much happening story-wise. The interesting developments happen at the beginning at the end. All in all, Darksiders is a very strange series in how tough it can be to really discern a solid gameplay core with how it can differ between titles, and has led to very differing opinions on how people view the individual games. Like i said, for me there's a core of Character Action combat and puzzle dungeons, and thus Darksiders 3 feels like the biggest outlier. I've got the benefit that i had never played or really watched gameplay before of the likes of God of War, Prince of Persia and Legend of Zelda prior to becoming acquainted with the series during the late 2000s/early 2010s, so in my case i don't really feel the notion of derivation. But still, for all that it can be called derivative, a clone, "taking inspiration from/based on", etc. in media, Darksiders still very much feels like its own thing for me and i dearly hope for a solid, deserving continuation and ending to its tale. Oh, and Soulstice from the latter half of 2022 is a very solid newcomer to this series too. Got its issues, but has a lot to offer and deserves more attention. If i had a nickel for every time a character action game dealing with a spectral otherworld, supernatural creatures called Chimera, and a player character where you technically play two characters at once, plus a giant sword for a weapon, i'd have two nickels. Which isn't a lot, but it's funny that it happened twice. Can also recommend The Dishwasher: Vampire Smile, Clash: Artifacts of Chaos (more brawler than action but also very deserving of attention), and one may want to keep an eye on the upcoming Genokids, Enenra, and Gori: Cuddly Carnage.
I played Scarlet Nexus and for the last 10 hours of the game, I was crying and begging the game to end! it really overstayed its welcome. I was even thinking about playing the game again as the other character before realizing how much of a drag it is near the end. The combat was amazing though. and yes, they screwed up the party member quests, after a while I just started to skip all the dialogues, It was just too much frivolous talking.
I've already played it twice. Love it! FYI, if you upgrade the crossbow all the way, it becomes pretty effective
