She own a house for 3 years. The house isn't the issue. It's a person not use to or not constantly being responsible for tasks. Knowing how to manage, save money, and knowing how to invest at home inside and outside. This includes tools and supplies for maintenance. Learning how to shop for deals throughout the year.

I think that she in her particular situation made a dumb move. She should have kept the house and continued the maintenance or downsized to a smaller home with easier upkeep. What happens if life happens and she loses all income and savings while she rents? When you own a home you always have that home to fall back on especially in retirement.

I own a house for a little over 2+ years now as a 24f . Best decision I. Ever. Made. I rent out the extra rooms for people I know and haven't looked back. I worked my ass off to be here and to have my car in a safe place makes me happy. Be smart and save your money people because the housing market is about to crash and we might be seeing higher inflation in the future. Shop at Winco for good prices on food.

The thing with renting is you’re throwing thousands of dollars down the drain every month. When you buy a house, it’s an investment, you can turn that house into a lot of money. It just takes work.
