    Thanks for the video. I took this shroud off to clean the barrel then put it back, but I didn't know how to align the barrel band correctly. Is it necessary to put the barrel band back? Does it really affect the POI? Thanks in advance.

    Nope I shot mine down to 2000 psi and went to fill it back up and it just dumps the air so looks like I have to try my hand at this tonight and see if it straightens it out 😳 I did order a Macavity arms MA2 in .30 long barrel it’ll be here Wednesday just in case I don’t get the JTS back in order…. I really like the gun too until that… is 3 months of use really enough to need to repair that check valve already?….. I was hoping not to have to take it apart for at least 6 months to a year 😢

    I'm experiencing persistent leaks on the regulated side of the part #49 regulator housing where the high-pressure gauge sits. At that joint between the plenum and the high-pressure gauge. I noticed a pinhole in the threads of the regulator housing. It is normal? What function does it perform? I have a photo blowup of the regulator housing,

    Mine was leaking this morning thank goodness I just needed to tighten the outside nut on the nipple… I have a dumb question… how could it have came loose? And also what is the average lifespan for a pcp before it needs to be rebuilt and what would be considered way too soon like every 6 months?…. A year? Or are these things that could commonly just fail any given day?

    Hi, thanks for the info! I have JTS Aircuda Max. Was leaving for 2 weeks and released all the air before I left. Now I cannot charge it with air. When I pump it with a compressor, I feel the air leaking through the barrel. Any idea what may have happened? The release screw I used to empty it is tight. Very confused. Thanks in advance

    • @45bravoairguns4
      @45bravoairguns4 7 วันที่ผ่านมา

      When you remove the stock there is a degass screw on the left side just below the JTS LOGO. But do not degass the gun, leave it with air in it. If you are worried about pressure, leave a 1500psi “care taker” charge in it. The sealed pressure keeps the seals tight and dust out. Now apparently you have degassed the gun. Cock the rifle, put it on safe and try to fill it. If using a hand pump it may not seal. So a friend or a paintball store could give you a quick shot of air to seal the system again. Then NEVER Degas it unless you have to to work on it.

    I have the standard in .25 and I don’t think I’ve seen a better built gun for the money I can’t personally say anything about long term reliability yet because I’ve only had it for a couple months but I’ve definitely put a few thousand rounds through it and so far I haven’t had anything malfunction…. Everyone seems so worried about being able to use a moderator but why the gun is so quiet you can’t make the projectile strike sound quieter and that’s about the only noise I hear when I shoot it. It’s dead accurate not pellet picky has enough power to 😵 foxes and raccoons for sure I’d say even bigger things depending on the ammunition and distance the main thing I don’t like is the shot count but I’ll get over it for a gun this nice it’s not even fair to the squirrels it’s so accurate I get bored of it but that’s a good thing… there’s just not much excitement in shooting at something I’m 97 percent sure I’m gonna hit😂 I’ve shot things from well over 100 yards and I’ve tried and own just about every kind of pellet and most of the popular slugs that are available and the only thing I’ve found is the light ammunition doesn’t perform its best at full power but you have a power wheel…. Use everything you have to your advantage 🤷‍♂️ I cut the power down to 4 and I can get the light ammo to group at least good enough to hunt successfully with all the ammo I have… I had previously said in other comments that the FX hybrid slugs were terrible in mine but I figured if I spent almost $20/100 slugs I’m gonna go out there and at least shoot them so I loaded a magazine with 10 of them and just started shooting at cans from random distances then loaded another magazine and shot a group from 33 yards with a fresh target and I had heard of seasoning the barrel but never seen anything drastic like that it went from 50/50 on paper to a dime can cover all 10 and 6/10 are damn near in same hole so I went and tried the light ammo on 4 power setting and everything that did poorly tightened up nicely but anything 24 grains up to around 32 was good for me I do want some of those maple 🍁 custom magazines 😍

    I was looking at a Fx drs because it’s a good looking rifle, but this is nice too. And, importantly you like it. I have pushed my prod to its limit, it’s a good pester, this would be its replacement and maybe even the gen1 mrod in .25 I use for 80 yd targets and raccoon sized pests at closer range. Skunk at 80 ok, it is a very accurate rifle with a very nice trigger. Love the semiauto, the bolt lock, and the manual feature, and the simplicity. Can be tuned up or down in power and the locking hammerspring adjuster. Tempting for sure!

      I also have the older AEA HPSSplus in .22 with a 10 inch barrel. I used it in last years cup. And placed 7th as I said. This gun with factory settings is pushing the same pellet just over 100 fps faster than the shorter one airgun. After the regulator settled in, I am now averaging 970fps with JSB 18.13’s. At 80 yards it’s deadly. If you do your part, soda can size targets at 100 yards are easy. The FX rifles are in a different price category, and have a different philosophy of use. JUST DO IT, You won’t be sorry!

    Does anyone have a parts diagram/breakdown for the .30 calibre Airacuda Max? The manuals for the .22 and .25 include the diagrams. The .30 does not. The critical o=rings in the breech area and barrel base are different between calibres and even with a micrometre getting the size right will be 80% educated guess and 20% measured value.

    • @45bravoairguns4
      @45bravoairguns4 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I translated the diagrams for the .22 & .25 caliber prototypes and measured the sizes needed for the orings. Since the platform was proven in those 2 calibers the .177 and .30 calibers went straight to production, bypassing the prototype stage. I don’t have a .30 caliber as yet from JTS. if I did I would happily do it again. I still say almost 2 years later, the value and accuracy you get for the money spent is hard to beat. Ian.

      @@kimmer127 cool, please use a digital/dial caliper. Measure the inside diameter, outside diameter, and thickness of the oring. Most orings are sold by inside diameter, and thickness of the oring. Also they tend to be in whole and half sizes. Very rarely will you find a .25 or a .75 size oring on an airgun. I have found using 90durometer orings while harder to install work really well. Ian

      @@45bravoairguns4 Yep I have a good micrometer like yours. I got the rifle broken down and started to document all the o-rings. The actual problem with my rifles is not o-ring related as it turns out. When I disassembled the valve it turned out that the plastic valve core identified as part 27 on the .22/.25 parts diagram is broken. I will continue inventorying all the o-rings and post the sizes here when I finish it. I plan to order BunaN 90 based on what you advised. Some folks seem to go with the softer N70 but you know what you're talking about so that is what we will do.

    This is very helpful! I'm looking to do the same with a new Avenge-X. So, I am correct that the procedure you used enabled you to determine that the hammer spring was initially set at 8-1/4 turns in? Then you backed it all the way out and started with 1/2 turn in, going up incrementally from there until you reached your goal? What confused me, though, is that you appeared to back it all the way out twice. Can you clarify the steps? Love your videos! Thank you very much...

    Noticed taking off my synthetic stock (at 3 turns in) the HS or housing was flush with the action. That would be 0 turns or all the way CCW with most guns. The avenge x from what I understand has a softer spring than the avenger. Probably why the AV x allows 8 turns over the AV’s 5. Softer spring but more adjustment.

      Well I got one and the buffer tube does not screw into the gun using the treads at the end of the buffer tube and is a special buffer tube. It has a 6mm screw inside the buffer tube to fasten it to the gun. It also has 2 slots that the buffer locks in to. So a folding stock does not work unfortunately. Piss pour design in my opinion. Tactical stock with a lack of access to the hammer spring adjustment. Not vary tactical at all.

      It’s a tossup, the accuracy difference between the JTS 18.1 pellets and the JSB 18.13 pellets is negligible. The JTS pellets have a slightly larger head size and seat tight in the chamber. Try both, or choose which shoots best, or if price is a concern, go with the least expensive option. I own both. The Airacuda has been in shooters hands for almost 3 years now including the prototype guns. The flexibility of the Avenge-X platform puts it in a different category than the Airacuda max, which has no upgrade path, you buy a max and either YOU design and make a different stock, or wait for someone to do that. . Air Venturi gives you the flexibility to change calibers, air supply, and stock configurations. At this point in time for the money spent, the Avenge-X is the best bang for the buck. Hope this helps. The last time I tried to charge the rifle, when I depressurized the charging hose, it dumped both rifle reservoirs and ejected the regulator body from the center threaded plug. Not very impressed with the one-way valve design, just a friction-fit screw holding an o-ring. Also when I disassembled the rifle, there was a 3d printed part fit between the stock and the receiver/action. With only one bolt holding the rifle to the stock, and that pressing on a PLA part, I'm not super impressed with the build quality here.
