The secret I found making music is time. Give your music time and it will be amazing.

My take on "less is more" for my own workflow over the years has meant this: Once a song feels good, leave it. Work on making the elements you already have stand out, rather than adding more tracks to try and fill a void that you feel is missing. A lot of the times that "void" is good thing because that's where the artist will shine.
