711L inline ratchet best of the best!?
A few tests inspired by the amazing work over at project farm to show some of the differences between the Leatherman ratchet and the 711L inline ratchet. THANKS a bunch for watching; listed below are some of the items in the video, some are affliate links and some are not. 711L inline rachet compared to Leatherman inline rachet brief overview
i just noticed you already had the video up testing the ratchet... finally a video with someone not only talking about the tool but also testing and showing some everyday use.. cool video!!
I'm looking forward to seeing how the ratchet holds up...
I got one of the preorders too. I love it so far. It seems very solid and well built.
Please test the max torque to failure. If you don’t somebody else will.
You are likely right but I enjoy the tool, I’d gladly test it once they are in full production
What's the price difference???
Leatherman is currently 39.95 usd on their site and I believe the 711L will be approximately 50 usd. I pre-ordered the 711L for 40 usd
Nice one! What about draggin force? Most ratchet screwdrivers have too much drag when screwing a metal screw to metal orifices (electronics parts).
The backdrag is slightly more on average with the 711L, about 35%, but it can handle more torque.
hadn't seen these yet, very cool.
very cool ive carried my leatherman rachet for over a yr maybe close to 2 yr i love it
Thank you for sharing. Amazon doesn’t have them in stock right now but I’ll definitely try one when they are available.
I’ve reached out to 711L and will update their timeline for restock if I hear anything!
Where are the stubby bits from?
amzn.to/41wFfm7 this is an affiliate ink if you choose to use it. I don’t love the included driver but the bits are the smallest double sided I’ve come across.
I've been using the leatherman ratchet driver for a few years now and I love it works very well thanks for sharing this with us
The Leatherman is a very solid choice! Currently the 711L has my heart but the Leatherman is no slouch
Very interesting. That bit holder looks very similar to a Tone design, the idea being that with normal/short bits you can pull *back* on the magnet to disengage it and make the bit easier to pull out
Great point I wasn’t sure of the design choice but pretty sure you nailed it!
