That's if you pull the qcsr Fuwalos, not everyone will 🤣 if you are buying a case because you want to have fun/don't care about making up the value back, there is no problem with that. If you're looking for specific cards like Fuwalos, you should just buy the singles and get what you want at that point. That's all I'm trying to say.

@@Hotshotfrontier well yes as a TH-camr I wouldn’t be expecting you to be looking for a potential flip of maybe 20-50$ with a chance of $100-350. I had bought two cases for $160 and pulled a decent grab of 3 QCSRs that went for (at the time) $150 and the other $55. Also pulled a few SRs that went for anywhere between $15-60. And the only point of buying the cases was because they were still in prerelease. Yea it’s fun, but the fun comes from getting those nice pulls no? If you bought a full case and they said “well it’s fun to get 212 commons as long as they look pretty” you’d b like “wtf is wrong with you that’s a waste of money”

Right and in pre-release, I completely understand becaus ratios aren't given out yet, but I'm mainly talking about buying cases now. Pulling either Fuwalos (no sweat) but without it 💀 There are probably people like that tbh 😭

@@Hotshotfrontier sinful spoils, both the QCSR and the SR. Each was $150, and $60 one from the first box one from second along with a few other decent SRs and another QCSR. (Yes I know I said this in my other reply different comment)

I forgot to add my copy of Chaos Angel on the list 😂 but I would play 2-3 easily with this list plus the Silhouette Rabbit/Azurune too

@CHA0S_L0RD234 they aren't, but both are great option for people that can invest a little more into the deck. A great/cheap card that someone mentioned was Apophis the Swamp Deity instead of Rabbit

Tbh the issue for most YGO players complaining is that YGO's competitors offer much better prizing I don't think players will ever be able to get everything that they want. Concessions will have to be made. If prizing means that much to those complaining, they should move to the other games that have goated prizing

There is a few different points to make here, competitor game's prizing, and level of effort to compensation comparison. Yu-Gi-Oh players who play at the world's level, even those who perform well at that level, often get compensated in next to no way. They get a plane ticket, hotel, but not much more than that. If you consider the fact that these are individuals who play hundreds of thousands of hours, and end up with nothing to show for it because of a set of bad hands is crazy. The competitor experience, even for young games like One piece and Lorecana is night and day. Yu-Gi-Oh has been offering a Nintendo switch, a 7 year old console, and Yu-Gi-Oh Legacy of the Duelist, a game that hasn't received support for almost 6 years. That is insane when compared to the hundreds or thousands of dollars that can be made with games that require less investment for decks, and have less B's in the eyes of the player base.

Why on earth are you trying to compare cardboard that is printed at arbitrary intervals to create artificial scarcity to plastic kits that are molded by machines and marked up by like 1000x than what it costs to produce it? Why defend these practices? It's not even about keeping the lights on, these are multi-million dollar industries. There's a reason everyone is gushing about the new 40k game and not rushing out to play the physical tabletop game. The pricing on anything that isn't digital these days is absurd because of greedy corporations. At least we have Master Duel. Maybe there will be an RTS 40k game one day (or an updated one, unfamiliar with the franchise as a whole). That would completely invalidate your argument. At that point, its about the game rather than the "hobby"; building, painting, collecting, selling and trading, physical conventions, none of that is needed when you can play the game from the comfort of your own bed/couch. "Spending $600 on a (single) deck isn't that bad" That is absurd. Any cards that expensive get hit with a ban/limited hammer, reprinted, powercrept, or just generally lose value over time. Very few cards outside of the early days of the game have gained value, their general value depends on the current meta, format, and predictions about upcoming cards. There are so many examples of the price of an older individual card shooting up because of speculative pricing based on upcoming releases of powercrept cards, and then those cards losing all of their value the next day/week when everyone finds out the deck isn't going to work out how they think it will after playing it on simulators, or the deck just sucks out loud. Tldr; cardboard (outside of graded early game cards) isn't a fricking investment please stop treating it that way, it makes one seem like a corpo shill.

@@josephv7899 isn’t that gambling when it’s not sanctioned? It probably isn’t done because it’s blatantly illegal. Konami would also probably sue or something for profiting with their product, companies from there sue for everything.

I have had a little table in the middle of my orbiter with an Eidolon duelling a Orb Mother using Prex cards for years lol, just recently added the associated frames as Articula on top of each card. ​@@Hotshotfrontier
